If you had any discernible grasp of the English language you'd understand that "effect" is both a noun and a verb and is interchangeable with "affect" when used as a verb. You've been educated into thinking that affect is the only word that should ever be used when speaking with verbs just because it's the cultural norm, but in no way is effect wrong. It absolutely does not compare to "except" and "accept" which have 2 completely different meanings altogether.

Every time a player has a recognizable former athlete as a father they show the family constantly in the stands. That goes for football as well. It doesn't hurt that his mom, wife, and sister are all fine.
