if I take a bat and bash your skull in you'll most likely have irreversible brain damage and be intellectually handicapped for the duration of your lifetime


Yet if that very same brain dies, decomposes and turns to dust it will magically reform itself in another dimension with all memories and functions fully intact. This is ultimately the stance you're taking.
