If its that easy why dont artists claim coercion to get out of bad record deals?:ohhh:
Because it’s harder to prove coercion. :gucci:

Most of these artists sign that shyt by themselves and a lot of record labels record the contract signing to assure this.

Did you watch the video? :dwillhuh: she could easily argue that she was put under duress or coercion to sign the prenup in order to get married. (im not on her side). Not to mention family courts are extremely favorable towards women. Have you seen how often prenups are thrown out
because women claim duress and coercion? Not to mention states have different standards of what it means to be coerced. AND you can throw out the prenup due to not having proper legal representation. If she just signed that shyt without counsel it'd be a wrap for him.

then an artist can easily argue they were coerced to sign the contract, also Duress and coercion are synonyms thats like saying you're straight and heterosexual.

if that was the case, you’d find more artists getting out of contracts.

No it’s not. They are fundamentally different in the legal context .

You used a very specific link lol, simple googling the definition of either word shows the inverse as a synonym:mjlol:
:dwillhuh: but..
We’re talking in the legal context (e.g, contract disputes) I’ll break it down to you since you’re having trouble grasping this.

Duress = the threats used to force a person to do something: They only agreed to the action under duress.
To coerce someone means to persuade someone forcefully to do something which they are unwilling to do, so coercion is persuasion by means of force of some kind: They were coerced into agreeing to commit the crime.
