I mean, the great players thrive on adversity. When they go through a shooting slump, they relish the challenge of finding their stride again. It seems Silas was looking forward to dominating and getting praise for more historically great offense rather than just enjoying the process of building a team.
Nah fukk that. Harden was not going to stay there with Silas entire time and he's a fool if he thought otherwise. Houston was going to be on the clock to trade Harden the moment he turned an extension. It's no different what happens to any other team whose star player turns down an extension. People forget that Harden could have opted out after next season, so more than likely he was going to be traded sometime before next season started.
Dude was going to end up in a rebuilding phase one way or another. He cannot be out there displaying that type of attitude especially as a first year/first time HC who doesn't have the normal leeway that other tenured coaches do. We'd be clowning any other coach if they did it. I hate it for him, but he took the job so that's what comes along with it.
Either man up and do your job or go back to being an assistant coach without the pressure of leading a team.
