Comparing Curry and Lebron is like comparing apples and oranges. Different positions/skill sets, different roles on their teams, different ages. But if we're writing off Lebron, then why was there talk of him being the first player from the losing team since Jerry West to get Finals MVP when Steph wasn't even in the conversation? I do think the media/ESPN love train definitely switched from Lebron to Curry last season.

Isn't it possible to appreciate both of them for what they are?

You can say the last two are primarily his, but there's absolutely no reason to consider the first 3 as some indicator that he BEGAN his era back then. at the most, his era was those two back to back years and nothing more.

there's not a single year Kobe was the best player
