Steph's team is loaded, he couldn't do what Westbrook is doing

I don't deal in hypotheticals.... I deal with reality....and the reality is, this team is hurt, Harden is healthy.... So I cannot fathom a Durantless\Ibaka OKC team being out of a playoff spot with a healthy Harden on board......

There is a gang of ways to play all 3, and they should have made a stronger effort to keep all 3.....
Of course there was, nobody is disputing that. The problem is, there isn't a way you can play them and expect production/impact to the amount of max-contract players.

Harden more valuable than all 3 of those guys. If Houston put Harden on the market right now they would want more talent than those 3 as fair compensation.
It doesn't matter if he's more valuable than them on a surface level, what matters is that they needed a balance squad more than another ball-dominant wing player. The impact Harden now has in Houston, wouldn't be the same in OKC. Stop comparing the two. Kanter strengthens their main weakness - scoring at the 5. Augustin is their 6th man scorer (providing to the effect what Harden would have) and Singler is a 3 and D piece.

You don't need a scoring 5 to win a championship. A scoring 5 hasn't won a ring since Bynum did it with the Lakers.

OKC needed more scoring options in their frontcourt. Ibaka wasn't enough. It was never practical for the Thunder to have no scoring option whatsoever there in Perkins. Adams was/is still growing as a player and isn't that type of threat yet. They needed a player that could get consistent buckets in the post and/or balance out Ibaka'a perimeter based game. Harden can't do that for them. Kanter can.

Don't take what I said out of context - by scoring at the 5 I meant they needed a post scorer and a offensive threat at the 5 spot. 99% of Championship teams had a player in the frontoourt that could get easy baskets, before the Kanter trade... OKC never had that.

If OKC had Harden why couldn't they get Kanter though? Is a championship worth losing a few million dollars of profit?
