Technically the constitution says nothing about a former president running for VP after his term has ended. However this would be brought by the SCOTUS to clarify that stance.

Because if Vance says I’m running for Prez and Trump is VP that could be Trumps way to get back into White House. But if something happens to Vance where he can’t serve as President then we know the VP is next in line. So we gotta see legally what boundaries are that Trump is trying to exploit.
He definitely going to try and backdoor something through the SCOTUS.
By then the country will probably be neck deep in the shytter, hopefully these states know it's best to keep his name off the ballot.

I don't see how he won't. Where is the real opposition to MAGA? Democrats are fighting themselves, the military and intelligence agencies have been purged of anyone not loyal to him and the judicial system works for HIM. I have already opened a bookmark folder titled "Trump's Third Term".:francis:

That's a very literal reading of the Constitution, specifically the 22nd amendment.

But by putting it in those sort of terms, you're accepting the premise that the Constitution governs. It does not govern. The Constitution is as malleable as anything else. And they have shown repeatedly that they do not care about such triviality.

We're at a stage where the other side will do things that are justified by text and law but also unjustified and unsupported.

So by even trying to intellectualize the idea, you are accepting their frame of the situation.

That's not how you deal with fascists.

Listen I accept the facts you have to prepare for ALL outcomes with Trump and his next move. In some cases Trump will use structures of the constitution as a legal argument and a pretext to justify a power grab, in hopes SCOTUS supports it, or consider other legal loopholes, or manufacture a crisis through lying and gaslighting.
