Black people were not just landlocked in Africa. They were all over the old world, but many were forced to flee into Africa by their enemies. Just like Christ did. He was an Israelite that had to hide in Africa when them crackers tried to kill him.

You implied that Haitians had a significant part in the cultivation of ADOS culture and that has been proven false.
That quote refers to the notion that New Orleans Creole culture was heavily influenced by Haitian culture.
Definitely didn't, I also never made any claims about Louisiana, but even in the page you screenshotted the author makes note that it's only a possibility and his sources were arguing against conventional beliefs.

it’s not a lie, it’s missing context .

You all seem to think that placing an adequate amount of Blame on Africans is somehow absolving Europeans, and that’s the case,

I blame both groups equally.
Again with the "you all". You don't need to guess and tell me what I'm thinking. I already told you what I think and who is to blame. Have you been reading at all?

Where is this absolving Europeans coming from? Where are you pulling this from?

Wrong. Sending bottles of water into people inside of a burning house is not help. Sending money back to people who have to deal with corrupt governments is not help. Help is taking part in the politics of your country and starting grassroots movements to cut out the rot of corruption. Sending money back home is putting a bandaid on a gunshot wound, without ever considering the removal of the bullet.
You don't have the first clue to how 3rd world countries operate so I'll just move on as I know you are too ignorant to understand as it's not your battle or situation and you aren't intelligent enough to even begin to understand. So let's move on as you don't qualify.

default black culture as in, it’s the only culture specifically for black people. Which is why a Asian partaking in a Carribean culture is not a cannot be a culture vulture because said culture is based around nationality. American Culture and Black American Culture have grown independently of each other due to segregation and terrorism. That is what makes it the only black culture.
That makes absolutely no sense. Try explaining it to me in a different way.

it’s not via proxy because we are not immigrants nor were we invaded. We’ve been here for every step of America, and before the country even had independence. We are not guests. There is no version of America that black Americans have not existed in. Not one. Because we don’t have the power due to being outnumbered 9-1, doesn't mean it isn’t our country.

I'll hold off till I read the entire paragraph when it comes to the proxy part.

Black folks are not immigrants nor were invaded. I agree so far.

I agree with the Black folks were here at each major step and were the biggest commodity that made America what it is tonight. Free labor.

I agree, Black folks are not guests.

I agree.

This one is confusing. It doesn't make sense nor did it address my main point either.
"Because we don’t have the power due to being outnumbered 9-1, doesn't mean it isn’t our country."

In South Africa, Blacks outnumbered whites 10-1 but whites run the economy. What do Black people run in America? You are saying Black Americans have it better than any other group of Blacks in the Caribbean or Africa as a collective? My response is, via proxy. You are in a first-world country. I don't see anything you wrote to deny this fact.

Black Americans resources and America’s resources are one and the same. We built the country and our owed reparations because of it.
I agree with reparations, but what are Black American resources? If what you are saying is correct, why are ALL other immigrant groups getting far more of "your" resources than you? And not just more, significantly more. In fact, only the other Blacks are getting far less of those resources. Make it make sense since this is one and the same?

Social advantages as in black immigrants post 1965, have come into a very specific version of America. One that is the result of 100s of years of black American sacrifice. The 1965 immigration act is a result of that. Being able to come to america with a clean state and start your bloodline here using the resources of the most rich country in the world (that you didn’t built) is a giant social advantage of a global scale

Are you sure? The Moynihan Report counters this and last I checked, till this day, they are still following the Moynihan report as law which was introduced in 1965. I really believe you are confused. There hasn't been a Black race-specific law on the books since before 1965 and almost all of those are bad. Even affirmative action wasn't Black specific which was also signed in 1965.

It was the richest nation in 1965. That would be true for most Americans at this time and all future Americans. I don't see this as the knock that you seem to think it is.

Educational boosts as in immigrants to play the black card and the immigrant card as they say fit. Applying for scholarships and grants and schools that were put into action at a time when non white immigrants Weren’t even allowed in the country. Not only that, applying for BOTH immigrant scholarships and black scholarships. Why did I as a student have to apply for black scholarships, and share those with Nigerians, and Jamaicans who apply for the scholarships that were put forth my ancestors , and then they also apply for scholarships solely for carribeans and Africans. There’s dozens are scholarships solely for them that we do not have access to. Same with business loans and grants.
Black card? I didn't know there was such a thing outside of white supremacists claiming you are using it for attacking whatever white supremacists shyt they are doing. Non-whites immigrants have always been allowed into the country if they want you. As I said, there is a lot you just don't know. You just aren't educated enough.

What are Black scholarships? That's not even legal since 1965.

You can't even get federal or grants scholarships if you are an immigrant. Private, yes, but not government funded. You wouldn't be in comp with Nigerians or Jamaicans for scholarships or grants unless it's private and of course, they apply.

It's not legal to have Carribean-based scholarships in America. Scholarships have to be open to everyone legally. Same for business loans and grants.

no they have not, stop telling this lie. The black immigrant population pre the immigration act that was pushed through by the civil rights era, had less than 0.01% non American blacks. It was barely a thing.
They have no claim to the cultivation of America, and the FEW that did, were either half ADOS/FBA or used the Black American social sphere to push agendas (Garvey, Chisholm)

Take that BS to someone who don’t know better.

It was more than barely a thing. Many were involved in the ownership of massive values within the Black community like the Negro Leagues, the Black entertainment industry of 1900s to the 1940s, etc. Not to mention the business creators from the Caribbean and Africa who studied and some stayed if they offered enough value. Guys like Garvey were getting trained in England and coming to the states. It was no different in Africa. How do you think they linked up? Malcolm X's dad was a lawyer in the US and from the Islands. Saying it wasn't significant is simply false.

I disagree, I believe they have a clear claim to cultivation. Where I agree with you is they weren't in the US at every step. That, they weren't. They came for a better life even if it was a difficult one nonetheless.

You don't know better, that's the problem. You're a dullard. Sorry bro, but you really need to read a lot more books and really invest more into learning and less into blind hatred.

No thanks, I’m a Black American. Not no African :mjpls:

Go to Africa, and tell’em you’re African they’ll laugh in your Akata ass face :mjpls:

Lemme believe a broke insecure bum who's never been there, thinks his "black American" hood is some utopia of black bourgeois society to be envied by others, and who's entire scope of the world revolves around what YouTubers tell him, instead of someone who has actually spent time there. Sure. Makes sense. Sit down fool. Please. Ole "me no black papi" dumbass.

I wish some of you would be honest and admit your jealously of black Americans.

Who would be jealous of a haircut. Were you not the main one hyped as a teenage school girl when you thought an African immigrants was going around murdering "black Americans." I wish you hashtag weirdos would just admit you are such cowardly self loathing paranoid schizophrenics desperate for validation from the world that you're willing to punch down on anyone to feel important. Ain't no one buying's y'all pathetic "thank God massa took me out the jungle" nonsense as the height of black political thought.

Personally, I admire Africans and their culture and am proud to say that I am a descendant of Africans.

My girlfriend is Igbo and I’ve dated many Caribbean and African women. Never had any issues with their families accepting me.

But at the same time, if black people in America want a distinct culture to identify with I don’t see why people are so butthurt about it.

Even if you take a DNA test, most of us can’t trace our origins back to one specific tribe so why is it somehow a bad thing for us to acknowledge we’ve created our own identity?

Mexicans who are recent immigrants or the children of immigrants will, for example, call themselves paisas.

The ones who were born here and have been here for decades will call themselves Chicanos or Tejanos.

They acknowledge their Mexican heritage but also understand that they aren’t the exact same as actual Mexicans.

This gesture on Steve Harvey’s part comes off as contrived and forced.

I don’t believe in bad mouthing Africans or stereotyping/demonizing them, though.

Once again the issue isn't that anyone is offended by African Americans identifying with their Nationality. The problem is that these stupid hashtags are damn near right wing hate groups ginned up by a failed DC staffer who was being bankrolled by a white supremacist hate group and a yapping con artist. Both sell out c00ns that dont give a fukk about you or me. Both of whom only did it to attract a social media following and make money.

The ados hashtag has absolutely no origin besides some youtuber--whom we did not know at the time was on the board of directors for right wing hate groups--popping up and just claiming a bunch of nonsense abou "these Africans." She was never attacked or undermined by an African or by pan-Africanism in her life. She graduated college and failed at her own career with no intervention from spooky Africans coming to take something away from her.

She didn't suggest an unnecessary acronym for African Americans and then got push back from other black people. No one cared. There was no reason for the division. She decided that's her angle to get known and big among the predominantly pan-African pro-black social media scene was to attack Africans and pan-Africanists as sworn enemies and "leeches" of African Americans. It was glorified bigoted hate speech masked under this veneer of benevolent victimhood. And it worked. She got her audience. And everyone latching on to it has been going out of their wat calling Africans leeches and savages and basically doing their best redneck cac impression ever since.

And since then it's gine out of control and evolved to psuedo-science about hairlines, ashy skin, and the 30% white ancestry of the ethnically unique African American. The shyt been turned into wannabe black boule class self loathing c00nery. I don't see African or Caribbean brehs by and large carrying on like these hashtaggers at all.

When these hashtags can figure out how to show their pride as black people born in America without undermining, attacking, and disparaging other black people, it won't be a problem. But they love thar attention. 99%....no scratch that...100% if the activity of these hashtags is just attacking Africans and Democrats. Thats it. The last time coli dudes tried to make some discord for their hashtag to "organize among themselves without immigrants around" shyt died and went nowhere. With no one to attack so they can feel important, there was nothing for them to do. That's why I get annoyed with people acting like these hashtaggers are the victims and random Africans are the bullies. Please man.

When I was growing up we knew the dudes who's folks was from the islands, who's folks was from the continent, and who's folks descended from the states. It was never an issue and we all took pride in our backgrounds and each other as black men. Youtubers invented this rivalry for their own agendas.

Pan Africanism is fairytale ideology that leads to nowhere. Black folks all over the world have their own local politics to worry about

Did you know you can partake in politics and be pan-African at the same time?

I'd tell you to ask patron saint of every roleplaying net militant, half-Carribean, Garveyite raised Malcolm X, but you know...pan-Africanism is all about taking from the Foundational Black American bourgeoise and give it to these leeching, lazy Africans so maybe he's not the best role model huh?

That's a very cute speech. But you're leaving out a very crucial information. What type of Africans collaborated with Europeans?

You had royals and powerful African elites preying on their powerless population just like it continues today. But you're here sounding like Motumbo the farmer woke up broke one day, grabbed his neighbor's son, ran to the coast and sold him to an European.

Do you think it was just a free-for-all amongst regular Africans? Is that what they taught you in school?

What you just did is equivalent to blaming folks in the hood who are victims of violence perpetrated by the gangs with guns and power in the hood. Yes, the gangsters are black too but why the fvck are you blaming the ordinary dude who got robbed and shot?:stopitslime:

Don't bother. That dudes entire view of Africans is based on white supremacist st0rmfr0nt fantasies and complete inaccuracies about Black history itself claiming civil rights legislation and anti-racism policies in America were "intended only for black Americans" that is not and has never been true. You should have seen him jumping for joy in a paranoid schizo frenzy when Tariq lied to him that an African went around preying on "Black Americans." He's an ahistorical idiot bigot just roleplaying as some type of scholar.

if black people in America want a distinct culture to identify with I don’t see why people are so butthurt about it.
In all seriousness: Have you ever felt push back at Juneteenth? Black History Month? I doubt you've heard claims about how "divisive" the Black National Anthem is or Soul Food restaurants, right???

My point is, we BEEN had and expressed a distinct culture, and it wasn't/isn't called "divisive" either. This claim that 'We're just trying to be distinct and they're mad' is sloganeering devoid of reality, and the people who created it knew exactly what they were doing.

They don’t want to fix home. Black immigrants send $50B home daily, but many of them have no intention of contributing anything to their countries outside of well wishes and some dollars.

As much dysfunction that the black American community has, it’s Still in far better shape than ANY other African or carribean country/community.

We’re fortunate as black Americans that our ancestors simply did the work, and a lot of these folks are still waiting to this day to start.

Most carribean/Africans are simply looking for a way out, not a route to fix.

Here this nikka go wit his "thank God the white man took me out the jungle" psudeo intellectual diatribes.

It never takes long for you hashtag nikkas to start talking like cacs.
