#KnicksTapeim not gonna doubt his basketball knowledge, but a coach? someone that not only deals with x's and o's but also manages egos and personalities. dude was a failure as a gm (suns) and i think he will be equally unsuccessful as a head coach
Ask yourself why coaches get fired for losing their locker room. You think the players are not going to try to win because of this bullshyt concept you made up?
Y'all lost for taking coaching in the NBA serious
It does not matter

Dude was still a leader on every team he played for. He even went to Utah and had Stockton and Malone mad because nikkas was following him.the product of being a mediocre player most of his career playing multiple with HOF'ers for so long. plus an EXTREMELY long career that was pretty much injury free. I say this, cuz at no point was he EVER considered an elite player at his position.

Three members of the Jazz organization now understand why Jackson has been traded seven times in his 16-year career: They say that over a period of weeks, he succeeded in turning several teammates against Stockton by repeatedly remarking that those players would be better off if Jackson were the Jazz’s floor leader. Other players* rallied around Stockton, who, because of his quiet nature, was vulnerable to the locker room politicking. The rift on the Jazz was mended, though not before Stockton’s pride had been wounded. “There was no question it hurt John, because you could see him withdraw,” says a high-ranking team official. “But he’ll never talk about it, just as he won’t talk about injuries, because then he feels like he’s making excuses for himself.”man, I don't even remember him playing for them.
bad day to say this considering a coach retired with 1042 wins and was nothing more than a journeyman guard (Adelman). Who followed him?Kidd and Jackson going to the HOF and were respected as leaders on just about every team they played for. Kerr road coattails his whole career.
Adelman worked his way up. My point was that you don't go straight from playing to coaching unless you were respected as a player and guys followed you.bad day to say this considering a coach retired with 1042 wins and was nothing more than a journeyman guard (Adelman). Who followed him?
So you're asking us to judge a move made 6 years ago based on their play todaybell and diaw for dudley/j-rich was probably even. but ask yourself this. would you rather have diaw or dudley right now??
Isn't that how a GM's moves are deemed successful?Look at the players Isiah drafted and signed. He did better than a lot of current gms. But it's an easy talking point to say they sucked.
The only team that actually runs sets is the Spurs.
