This makes no sense since for God knows how long, even the bolded meant absolutely nothing when it came to getting a head coaching gig.Adelman worked his way up. My point was that you don't go straight from playing to coaching unless you were respected as a player and guys followed you.
Guys respect Kerr. He likely won't get the job unless key players on the team are on board with it
and Kerr hasn't played in 10 years. There's a generation of kids that only know Kerr from hitting a game winning shot in the Finals and through his announcing. I'm sure he's amassed a ton of respect in that time. If the Knicks wanna do that, then it's on them. I wouldn't endorse it, but I wouldn't endorse Phil as a 68 year old rookie executive either.
