Anyone got any objective crap on this?

I know in recent years since analytics have come out, Kobe's actual scoring vs. shot difficulty has actually been below league average. But that's in the sucky era - has anything calculated how he did in his prime, or is that data not around?

Personally, I've always felt that Kobe's talent exceeded his play, and a lot of it was because of stuff like this. But his shot volume also caused his accuracy to be exaggerated. Anyone can make tough shots is they shoot enough of them - stans forget the 3 tough shots he missed and remember the 1 he makes. He seems like a better "tough shot maker" because he makes 200 out of 800 tough shots in a season, which gives him a lot of highlights, but I'm not certain he's actually shooting them significantly better than other good shooters, who might be wise enough to only make 20 out of 80 such shots on the season because they're not submarining team play for personal glory. The "20 out of 80 on really tough shots" shooter is just as accurate as the "200 out of 800 on those same sorts of shots" shooter, but he gets a lot fewer highlights.

Kobestans literally don't care about the misses - they'll ignore 5 straight 10-27 games if it leads to one 16-27 40+ point game.

Nobody gives a shyt about misses, kobe did not either if it leads to 5 rings.

You got players out there shamelessly stat padding for better shooting percentages

Except in his prime he didn't have a dreadful fg% like nikkas want to believe. He shot under 44% twice in his career from 01-09 (prime)..and missed 20 games in both those seasons. Taking the shots he took and shooting roughly 46% for your carrer is an accomplishment in itself. Wade and Bron shot at a much higher % but neither are as good as Kobe was in his prime..most of their shots were taken within 15ft of the basketball in their best yeats.

Steve Kerr is right but Scottie Pippen has better has more heart and better basketball IQ and way better defensive player.

LeBron doesn't trust his offense. He'splaying one dimensional. Just trying to force his way in the paint or looking for a foul call. He doesn't have no post game skills as big as he is he should have a post. His jumper is whack as f*ck and he can't shoot 3's that good either. There's the difference between him, Jordan, and Kobe. When Kobe got older he adapted his game anddeveloped a post game and fade away jumper like Jordan. Kobe learned from Hakeem for his footwork. LeBron rely on his physical attributes and that'snot enough.

Compare to Jordan breh

LeBron is like Magic Johnson breh

LeBron is better than Bird breh

:mjlol:

So LeBron is one dimensional and overrated. Got two rings with his superstars in their prime. He isn't no damn top 10 player in my book.

Best way I can put it is would you rather have Luke Walton :scust: or Smush Parker :martin: take a wide open shot or the Shooting Gawd :blessed: take a shot while being double teamed. I'm taking Kobe every time and so would Kobe or Phil Jackson. Kobe didn't give a damn about stats he just wants that win. That's why Kobe is the GOAT.

Shot difficulty..and range on his shyt was better. I already said Mj had better ball iq and picked his shots alot more wisely, which is why his fg% was higher. I Saw Jordan play in the 92-98 era, he's my personal GOAT but I can honestly say I saw prime Kobe hit shots that MJ never could :manny:

Honestly there's plays galore of mj doing things Kobe, or anyone else I've seen so far, couldn't do. For me I include finishing into a midrange game because of the options. Mj was stronger and had bigger hands too.

I saw mj play in the 80s as well as the 90s too. He was a monster. And an a$$hole lol

I was talking specifically about the fadeaway and midrange game that Kobe cloned and advanced through his career. He never had the hops, speed or strength to pull off the moves Jordan pulled from his rookie season to 91.

Not to derail but mj IMO is goat. And Phil has said so as well, along with most of the NBA coaches.
