Good post and I certainly agree with the bolded. It was clear that Dwight had no intentions of playing in the p&r, he was slipping screens way too often and not allowing Nash to set him up. I actually just looked up the numbers in the difference between his post-ups and p&r.. it's depressing really.
P&R: 79.6% FG
Post-Up: 44.5% FG
Actual plays run
P&R: 164
Post-Up: 649
So he converts buckets roughly 80% of the time out of the pick and roll and only 44 % of his post-ups results in a bucket, yet he posts up 649 times during the season and only have 164 p&rs run for him.
That's mind blowing really.. how can someone not understand this? How can he just look at these numbers and go.. well, I still think I should post-up![]()
