The hell it aint no correlation. I'm about tired of nikkas falling on grenades for artists they don't even support financially. A 5 page thread with nikkas coming keystrokes closer to arthritis defending a grammy award winning millionaire from some online thinkpiece doesn't mean a godamn thing. If you up here taking verbal bullets for artists or albums you aint even copping, I don't wanna hear it. :camby:
Dont artists get paid from streaming services?

Like nikka please stfu. Did you buy Drogas Light? Let me find out you were in them threads asking to Pass the Mustard it's neg on site.

And forgive us for not jumping on the bandwagon like the rest of you gullible ass nikkas. You bring up accolades which is the VERY reason y'all hating on the dude to begin with because had Bruno Mars been flopping this shyt wouldn't even be an issue.

I'm sick of you hating ass nikkas period. :camby:

I come on this site for entertainment and fukkery but all I get in this forsaken forum is bullshyt chatty patty nonsense of hate and beauty salon talk that belongs in LSA.

From the dumb hate LeBron gets to Kendrick, and now Bruno. Like this shyt is draining. All that hate your blood one would think you need a transfusion.

I remember the days when nikkas didn't dap fish and posted real shyt :ehh:

Man fukk all ya'll nikkas . I'm done with this section of the forum too

You still my nikka tho so hit me up in the JBO if you need some piff done with the Shop :salute:

Silly.

No one cares if White people like dude.

It's about BLACK MALE artist not getting the same promotion, support, budget, fame and push. And it's MANY that deserve it.

Another solution: Stop caping for someone who don't give a fukk about you or your culture.

Don't y'all criticize Kendrick Lamar for that very shyt you talking about and call him a plant???? :laff:

Got damn y'all are some fukking hypocrites I'm so glad I'm retiring from this dumb ass website.

I think the bigger issue is the fact that when black artist come out they are shelved or they don’t have the resources to be successful in a genre they are genetically and culturally attached too. I believe the real issue is the mass consumers which are normally white have an issue seeing black people performing their own music. Steve was in an era when no other group was performing black music. You had prince, James brown, Curtis mayfield, Sam Cooke and etc. today we have Justin Timberlake, Bruno, Jojo, Winehouse, Adele, logic and lil xan perform popular contemporary black music.

Stopped right there. You don't know what you are talking about.

Why would white owned labels push black artists? Especially ones that aren't entrenched in negativity.

Stop asking for crackers to do stuff for black people. It's up to black people to buy records from the people they want to hear instead of asking Mr. Charlie for a push

:leostare:

Ask?

This is the issue.

I'm the first one not to ask "Crackers" for ish. But, this is bigger than me.

Did you not read the article? Sons of Rich Blacks Fare No Better than Working Class White Sons - but different finding for Women

We are not in the position financially to do what you are asking - especially Black men.

And why should we not "ask" - or as I would say "demand" labels to sign more Black artist who sing R&B/Soul - because that is how they make their money - Black culture and the influence of Black culture and our artist - past and present.

Stop thinking we can bootstrap everything - cause it's a fantasy - especially when they are only open for biting off of our culture.

I don't or haven't mentioned Kendrick Lamar - so I don't know what you are talking about.

But, I am speaking on Black male R&B/Soul artist - cause it's my favorite genre.

He is.

Black folks are not listening to Bruno Mars like that.

If we are listening - we were forced too - due to it being push on our stations and media.

Lmao you crazy

The only play the songs in question on the black radio stations lol
They don't even play those songs at any white joints what are you talking about

:what:

Your oppressor will never give you anything but crumbs, even if you begged, they can't be trusted to do the right thing.

We had our own labels and we chose to give them away and most importantly, we gave away what matters the most, the master recordings to the music.

Sahabbi is decent. Don't like the thugger impersonations sometimes but he has potential.
Not a huge fan either but the writting is on the wall. R and b will be rock and roll status in a decade, completely abandoned by black people

LOL. Nah.

Bruno is on every radio station - white and black. Whether we want him there or not. He's going to get played.

You don't have to break down the White Supremacy game to me. I know it better than most.

We never chose to give them away. It cost a lot of money to keep up and stay open as a business - and I can only imagine how hard it is for a label or station.

That is what we often forget or act like we don't know - when we make claims such as yours. Things add up, things increase, new goal post are set via industry standards - and most if not all Black labels and stations can't compete - so they have to end up selling to make at least something and not have a lost for all the work and dedication they put in.

Non-Black people sit and wait for us to build and then they wait for us to not be able to keep up due to factors they implement - then they swoop in to buy.

We never gave away anything - it was taken - due to not being able to hold on to it - or being placed in a situation where they had too - and had no other choice.

So if we are comparing today and his era, I’m wrong? No fukkin way. You have some many leading black artist in r and b from the 60s to the 80s it’s not even funny. You can’t compare that to now. And I wasn’t speaking in absolute terms.
