does anyone else not give a fukk about this shyt?

i agree with @Stacker Pentecost but it was also the first time i thought about bruno mars since whatever super bowl he was on. shyt is a second-order issue.

It’s a week old topic at this point and still making waves which is hilarious. And Stevie Wonder is blind :mjlol: he wouldn't even know what cultural appropriation looks like. Bruno Mars could be a whole white man in blackface for all Stevie knows :mjlol:

For all we know he thought Bruno was Black this whole time and doesn’t understand what all the fuss is about lollllllll

Like nikka please stfu. Did you buy Drogas Light? Let me find out you were in them threads asking to Pass the Mustard it's neg on site.

And forgive us for not jumping on the bandwagon like the rest of you gullible ass nikkas. You bring up accolades which is the VERY reason y'all hating on the dude to begin with because had Bruno Mars been flopping this shyt wouldn't even be an issue.

Playboy :qpsmug:

I told yall in that thread I wasn't buying it because I only liked about half of it. Matter of fact, lemme jog your memory

Alright, I've had enough :timmyimout:

It's some good tracks on here but this is....light and he's well aware of this :pachaha:

I'll save my money for the real Drogas :yeshrug:

It's a fun little project but it's not worth money/time outside of a few tracks imo

that run from 9-14 is just :scust:

And honestly, I haven't spoken about or listened to that album since. Now if, you can find evidence of me doing so, feel free to neg...but good look in your efforts. :imsorrytohearthat:

Yes, Bruno Mars' accolades are brought up because it's the crux of the argument. He's talented, his songs are catchy, but if he was black, fans and critics alike wouldn't give a fukk. And ya'll know this, despite what yall are saying in here. But to see folks try to downplay that for some preschool type of defense of "ya'll just hating :mjcry:"...that's just pathetic and I can't help but call it out and poke fun at yall. :hubie:

Far as everything else you typed....I didn't read it, and I'm not going to. :manny:

Now if you'll excuse me, I need to get up outta here because I've spent far too long talking about a pop singer that looks like he takes a strap-on from women more brolic than he is in his private moments. :scust:

This ain't nothin new though. These c00ns been given out passes for over 100 years. nikkas gave Elvis a pass. Tap dancers was probably giving them black face minstrel show cacs passes.
Al joleson went out of his way to perform with black artists and made sure they were treated fairly.

Taken from an article.
No one is all-bad (or all-good). In fact, Jolson was, ironically given the perception today, an early crusader for the rights of African-Americans in show business. For instance, he was instrumental in helping to promote black playwright Garland Anderson’s work, which resulted in the first Broadway production with an all-black cast. He also attempted to have an all-black dance team featured in a Broadway show at a time when black people were banned from Broadway productions.

As black dancer Jeni LeGon said, “In those times, it was a ‘black-and-white world.’ You didn’t associate too much socially with any of the stars. You saw them at the studio, you know, nice—but they didn’t invite. The only ones that ever invited us home for a visit was Al Jolson and Ruby Keeler.”
Al Jolson- Misunderstood Hero or Villain?

Do you ever understand charts

Every big hip hop artist has been in top 5 of billboard

Lmao at cacs dancing to that s what Iike in the club

If they are it's a mixed club that plays hip hop heavy already

This isn't about Hip-Hop artist - as White people love hip-hop and purchase it more.

This is about R&B/Soul.

Yes. I do. That's why I know that he is in heavy rotation on every radio station - even stations that usually do not play R&B/Soul. But, since Bruno is not Black (but not really though..) in the eyes of non-Black people is gets play.

You don't have to break down the White Supremacy game to me. I know it better than most.

We never chose to give them away. It cost a lot of money to keep up and stay open as a business - and I can only imagine how hard it is for a label or station.

That is what we often forget or act like we don't know - when we make claims such as yours. Things add up, things increase, new goal post are set via industry standards - and most if not all Black labels and stations can't compete - so they have to end up selling to make at least something and not have a lost for all the work and dedication they put in.

Non-Black people sit and wait for us to build and then they wait for us to not be able to keep up due to factors they implement - then they swoop in to buy.

We never gave away anything - it was taken - due to not being able to hold on to it - or being placed in a situation where they had too - and had no other choice.

:snoop:

Those people gave away the music for more money and wanting to cross over. They didn't sell because they couldn't compete, they sold because they wanted a bigger audience.

If you own your equipment, and your master recordings like many of those bands did, there is nothing to keep up. Most of those guys didn't even run labels.

There was never that many black owned stations.

The internet is the greatest equalizers, now. You can get 70/30 splits selling your own music. The only things labels offer is more marketing dollars and less legwork for the artist. Most artists are getting pennies of the revenue,
