You're a kid for up to 18 years. Yes it makes a big impact on who you will be as an adult, but not completely, because tastes and perspectives change with time. If we go by averages, we may live to our mid 70s, so we have 50-something years of adulthood to contend with. Plus Stevie ain't gotta moonwalk when he can dreamwalk with his words.

Breh Michael Jackson is comparable to Michael Jordan in the sense that, it doesn’t matter what stats others put up, or what skills they posses, they will never be able to create the wow factor like Jordan and Jackson had.

This I can agree with. He did have grown men passing out, no Travis Scott.

MJ is no doubt a bigger cultural icon, if not the biggest in music ever. I'll miss Stevie's catalog more than Michaels, if one were to go away. The question is who makes better music.

Micheal Jackson. That wasn’t my era but I’ve heard plenty of Stevie wonder. I make beats so I’m familiar with a lot of music from that era even though I didn’t hear it in real time. Stevie’s music seems deeper and more socially conscious. Michael music seems more exciting and fun. So while I may not be an expert on them, I personally choose Michael if we talking about just music.

Its a tough comparison. My favorite MJ song, 'Human Nature', Mike is just a vocalist. Where as most of my favorite Stevie songs Stevie Produced, Wrote, Sang, and played at least one instrument on.

Michael produced a lot of his songs, but that doesn't get talked about too much. He was definitely multi-talented.

I hate that @Neuromancer is making me say this but truth is, you gotta give it to Mike. Stevie aint made a relevant record since what, 1989? Michael Jackson never stopped. Dude was cranking out hits whenever he damn well felt like it. In 2003, that ABC show had a full stadium plus millions watching on live TV. Stevie aint never been able to have that type of audience.

Going further than that, Michael Jackson started out with black music and then crossed over to mainstream. There's an argument to be made that Stevie never crossed over. Sure white people liked his music and whatnot, but Stevie was never the icon to people of all nationalities the way Michael was.

If you ask Stevie Wonder who he feels is better, I bet you he will say Michael Jackson.

Michael Jackson so bad he had Stevie Wonder in the studio singing background vocals for the Off the Wall album and Thriller too if I'm not mistaken.

Michael Jackson is him. He been him since he was 9 years old.

Stevie Wonder performed at Motown 25 just like MJ did. You don't hear nobody talking about Stevie's performance from that night.

Why? Cause Michael mothaeffin Jackson shut that ish DOWN.

There was a time when you could match Mike against Stevie and it be a fair contest. But guess what? Nobody has really been able to do that since 1984.

Michael Jackson ascended into a stratosphere that nobody was able to get to but him. His music was so out of this world that there aint really a genre for it.

I bet you I could pull up Stevie singing Michael Jackson's songs on YouTube. Show me Mike singing a Stevie song.

And I say that as somebody that grew up on Stevie Wonder. But MJ surpassed Stevie in the early 80s. The difference between Mike and Stevie is the difference between Goku on Namek before turning SSJ and Goku SSJ3. It ain't even close.
