I still thought that play had a great chance of working :manny: So often teams just try to run up the middle because that's what you're "supposed" to do even though everyone's expecting it and it gets stopped a lot.
Beastmode >>>>> Expecting a RB to run down the middle

Don't forget Marshawn just had like a 30 yd run to get them to the goalline

You put the rock in your best players hand...eff it

beastmode all day...

even if you wanted wilson to get the mvp, ok run a bootleg then, fake to beastmode then have wilson run it in.

that play was fugazi. didn't even throw it right, that close to endzone you throw it low, where only the wr can really catch it.

People keep thinking Lynch punching it in was a given. I remember last season against the 49ers he needed four runs at the one yard line to punch it in.

Not to mention I believe SI took a poll of NFL personnel and most thought the call was a fine call.

BeliGOAT just outsmarted Petey boy.

THE DEFENSE WAS TIRED.
BEASTMODE WAS DRAGGING DUDES THE WHOLE 2ND HALF
AND HADNT BEEN TACKLED FOR A LOSS DURING THE WHOLE GAME.

Why would any coach especially one like Pete or anyone in the Seahawks organization give a shyt about who wins MVP?

It's as simple as Pete and Darrell Bevell over thinking the play and making a bad play call. They thought the Pats expected a run so they were going to go with their bread and butter play on the goal line. Problem is Brandon Browner was no longer a Seahawk and saw the play happening. Bad play call, bad throw, bad pick by Kerse, bad attempt at getting the ball by Lockette. Great play by Browner and Butler. The rest is history.

Anyone who really can sit there and think that a coach would rather lose a game then have a certain player win MVP needs to :camby:out of the Coliseum.

HE OBVIOUSLY WOULDNT RATHER LOSE
THAN GIVE BEAST THE MVP...
BUT HE GOT OVERCONFIDENT
AND THOUGHT HE COULD CHOOSE THE MVP.
RUSS THROWING A PICK WAS THE FARTHEST THING FROM HIS MIND.

HE EVEN SAID SOME STUPID shyt ABOUT WASTING A PLAY...

HE ALSO SAID HE WAS GONNA GIVE IT TO BEAST ON THE NEXT PLAY.

WHY NOT JUST GIVE IT TO HIM ON THAT PLAY
WITH A TIMEOUT IN YOUR POCKET?

BEAST MADE A MOCKERY OF THE MEDIA ALL WEEK
AND HIS MVP PRESENTATION
WOULD HAVE BEEN A shyt STORM.
PETE WAS LOOKING OUT FOR THE LEAGUES BEST INTEREST
TRYING TO GET RUSS THE MVP
INSTEAD LOOKING OUT FOR HIS TEAMS BEST INTEREST
AND RUNNING THE BALL.

WORST CALL IN SPORTS HISTORY.
