Honestly... it was just last week when trump publicly embarrassed himself by calling off talks just when it looked like they were gonna agree on something. Can’t really blame Pelosi for not trusting these clowns.

again, at this point its just a win/win :yeshrug:

pelosi is not getting her bill, its this or nothing before March. so either
-mitch passes it and voters and cities/states get some relief
- mitch shoots it down. pelosi loses absolutely nothing, while trump and mitch spend 3 weeks fighting and republican senators guarantee they lose the senate

McConnell just said they'd "try" one more time to pass a stimulus before election and their offer is 500 billion.

Welp, guess Nancy should just accept 1.5 trillion less and call his bluff. Let the underfunded bill get passed and the let the GOP get the blame on the kickback. Am I doing it right?

So basically this thing hasn't moved in 5 months and it isn't going to, one side clearly hasn't even tried to negotiate. Albeit I don't see where the need for negotiation even is, there is no such thing as "doing too much" in this situation.

But the most telling is the senate starting to distance themselves from Trump's best interest and look out for their own. Lot of talk about Trump pushing and senate not budging.

yea.. I this point I think so because I don’t see anything else happening before January.

hopefully the Senate flips, Biden wins the White House and they can just focus on a multi-trillion dollar deal that includes most of the stuff from the original 3.4 trillion bill combined with other legislation that Biden has hinted at, like the 640 billion for homeowners.
