He's already made clear what his priorities are when he flat out said he's not bringing more stimulus bills to a vote, and when he rushed to confirm ACB. :mindblown:

He sat on the stimulus for months (and hundreds of other House bills that he gleefully admitted he wasn't going to pass), but didn't even wait an hour after RBG died to say that Trump's SCOTUS pick would be brought to a vote. And the week before RBG died, he rushed to confirm Trump's lower court appointments while Mnuchin and Pelosi were negotiating the stimulus.

If you can't tell what McConnell's priorities are, you're not paying attention.

its almost like you dont understand politics. if mitch isnt gonna pass it, then why not publicly humiliate him and trump at the same time by making it official?

Taking Mnuchin's deal serves no purpose. It's not getting the money in anybody's hands when McConnell doesn't bring it to a vote, it makes the Dems look weak and feckless yet again for rolling over, and it makes Pelosi look even worse for falling back after fighting so hard against it.

You're not going to publicly humiliate McConnell because he doesn't care.

lets keep it simple for you; the 1.8 trillion includes 1200 dollar checks for everyone, and 1600 a month if you cant find a job, and money for cities and states, and hospitals and testing. with what percentage of americans will that be popular with?

i think pelosi should take the 1.8 trillion dollar package because the economy needs it and people are out of work and need the money, and she has no path to getting her own bill

im arguing with about 5 dudes who want her to hold out and get nothing for anyone until March, so pelosi can preserve her ego. thats what they think is important here. not the fact that we'll hit december and people will need that money, but nancy pelosi's fukkin ego

i have no interest in siding with these partisan hacks on their disgusting position :yeshrug:
