I asked this question on here 3 days ago and nobody has an logical response for it..
what :dahell: they want to prevent any and all chances of businesses being sued so the economy can recover quicker, and their corporate buddies dont get any huge lawsuits. everyone knows that

but we're 8 months into the virus and no one is filing lawsuits anyway. so the question is, why not just give it to them for more stimulus money

Interesting logic:ehh:
if these dudes were posting examples of workers suing their companies over these past 8 months i'd say alright, maybe we do need to continue to have no liability protection

but they arent :mindblown: theres currently no liability protection, and yet no one is suing their employers anyway. so why is it something to tank stimulus over?

this is how bad the dems are at writing bills and messaging;

they're the ones trying to give out the most free money to the public, and they cant even win the narratives and the news cycle :mindblown:

what does this party need to do better? attack the republicans harder? i dont understand it

Protections from frivolous lawsuits already exist in many forms

It's just a red herring, now he "caves" on a completely insane thing to put in any bill in the first place

Drawing a "new" line in the sand on state and local aid and giving up his purported "red line" of liability protection we continue the further goal of privatization at the local level of essential services

Let the government build it up, underfunded it in a way you'd never do to airlines or corporations, then sell it off to vultures to further erode the lot of working people to the benefit of capital.

It's all about messaging and staying on code. They attack each other more than they go after republicans. And even when they go after repubs, they're not going nearly as hard as they should. Republicans are successful at messaging because regardless of whether they agree with each other or not, they all stand together publicly for the most part. Just look at the way 126 repub congressmen were willing to put everything on the line to stand with trump on that bogus Texas suit.

Dems have always written the better bills when it comes to the people, but they absolutely suck at playing politics. They need to come to some form of compromise as party publicly for messaging and settle their disagreements in private. Imagine how much more successful they'd be if you had for example, Joe Biden, Nancy, AOC and someone like Joe Manchin all on the same page delivering the same messaging in public. All democrats, but totally different ideologies.

They also need to stop being so damn soft and start straight up attacking and shytting on these obstructionists and damn near treasonous conservatives. It's way past time:hhh:
