they said on the news that mcconnell knows biden is gonna be demanding money next year so hes not gonna break the bank on this one :yeshrug:
I get that, bud Biden would only need to do that if they don't pass a big bill. If you pass a 3 trillion dollar that has retroactive UI, state and local aid, and even bigger stimulus checks among other things, Biden wouldn't have to demand anything :francis:

Y'all ever think that all u want is one win? I'm tired of everything we get being the absolute minimum we can get. I'd like one fukking win where we smash everything out the park. Republicans get damn near everything they want. 600 bucks? How the hell did the bar get even lower than $1200? And not only that we had to negotiate for 600? :what:

What is McConnell's play here? Why is he so against a big bill the covers everything? I'm pretty certain at this point dems would agree to the liability protections at this point if the bill includes UI, stimulus checks, and state and local aid. So what gives? :snoop:

the way they look at it the people who need this money aren’t taxpayers in the pure sense. they’re the ones who get the refunds every tax season, so they have no incentive to help those people.

Congress is a fukking joke. These idiots will provide a blank check to corporations but start juelzing when everyday people need money.
It’s mind blowing how much money they’ll funnel back to corporations who will just continue hoarding cash and laying people off. Blame republican politicians and conservative voters. They wanted this.

The cruelty is the point. Mitch’s only goal is to please corporations and he’s trying to tank things for Biden.

1) All he cares about is his corporate donors getting paid. The working class can kick rocks. :yeshrug:
2) Rethuglicans want to play deficit hawk during the Biden Administration and passing a large bill would contradict that. If they pass nothing more than a skinny bill, they can pretend to care about the deficit again and use that to gain seats in 2022.

Not retroactive? So the $300 kicks in once Trump signs it into law?

:mjlol:

Folks ain't seeing that $300 until mid January. I know people who are still waiting for their LWA payments Trump signed in August.

:mjlol:

It's because Mitch and his Republican crooks are concerned about the spending "ledger" under the Republican President.

They want to pass the large stimulus onto Biden - then make false claims that Biden "overspends" etc
