Unless a sweep in GA this will be the last stimulus.

GOP playbook will be: March rolls around & negotiations will start, drag it out three months till June.

by then seasonality with covid will start happening, rollout of vaccines to the general public will be underway. “We been in a quasi-lockdown for over a year time to open everything up”

This will be there talking points to justify lack of stimulus. I won’t underestimate their evil again.

At some point we need to go back to the beginning and think about how much of this falls on Trump.

He set the tone. Downplayed it from the start. Blamed China. But to the extent of stimulus negotiations he got his 74 million plus minions to not only back but demand everything open back up.

As a result Republicans really have no incentive to take positive action because their constituents have bought into the notion of, either you get or you don't or we should just all get it and get it over with nihilism.

its mitch and the republicans' fault, but theres no way to spin pelosi proudly and arrogantly turning down 1.8 trillion on national tv because "it wasnt enough. you dont know what you're talking about, Wolf", and then accepting this bullshyt. a complete and utter embarrassment

Maybe you should post the exact reason why turning down that 1.8 trillon was a bad idea, because you have been speaking on the issue for weeks and havent gained any traction on here.

Like possibly go throughout the bill piece by piece and explain exactly why it was so bad.

I can understand why she turned down the deals in the Fall. Didn't want to give Trump a potential bump. She was banking on dems cleaning up in senate races. However, can't forgive her for failing to secure state and local funding during the spring.

At this point dems absolutely have to take a deal but they should drag this out if it means they can get more for their constituents. They can't bet on Georgia like they did with the senate races in November.

If dems don't get Georgia, it's a wrap. However, there are still a things Biden can do without the senate /Day 1 Agenda
