Yeah well the Dems don't control the Senate so that's that

It's really that simple. We told y'all "bipartisanship" was coming and you didn't listen

This isn't a game of football where both teams are tied and the Dems just need to kick a FG

This is more like the Dems are down two touchdowns at the GOP has the ball

This here is what I wanna know: why did she say no to that bill. What was in it that made her say no? Was she just playing politics? Or was there something about the bill that seemed fishy?

cuz to me, the bill that was proposed earlier is objectively better than this one

politics

didn't want to help trump and she thought the dem's would take the senate

In a way she's right - at least we got $600 when they wanted to give us nothing.

When they win Georgia - the Dems need to give another $1200.
She turned down the 1.8 trill counter offer which had the 1200 because she, like so many others, were on that “get rid of Trump by any means necessary”. Her proposed stimulus for the American public was literally cut in half. Stim checks went from 1200 to 600 and unemployment benefits went from 600 for 21 weeks to 300 for 11 weeks.

Let’s pray the Dems win and then hope Biden sticks to his word. Cause of now it’s still “Both Sides”. :francis:

Trump backed that proposal..

Mitch and the Republicans voiced that werent going to support it.

That fake proposal was just BS Trump knew wasnt going to pass.

Mitch always favored a "skinny" bill under 1 trillion (he wanted a 500 billion cap - actually), with no money going directly to individuals.

The Dems were able to use the fear of the Republicans losing the run off in GA to get a bill at almost 1 trillion with payments for individuals.

They actually did a good job given the BS games the republicans play

How? Its a bi-partisan bill so how did Mitch, finese?

Members from both sides draft the bill and go over details before its gets released for a vote

:mindblown:

Mitch McConnell just successfully entangled stimulus and relief to federal government funding. Failure on the Dems part to come to a consensus on stimulus would lead to a brief government shutdown that the GOP would kindly hang around Pelosi and Schumer's necks.

This did not happen by accident, it happened by design that negotiations for these 2 spending issues are taking place at the same time.

Youre speaking on two seperate issues - yes the overall bill was a over-compromise for the Dems.

However you were implying that because the details or "language" hasnt been released that somehow Mitch is manipulating the bill.

My point is - both sides are still drafting the bill so the element of "finesse" you implied makes no sense

I implied no such thing, that was your interpretation. You all have to stop doing this.

Democrats will have to vote on the bill with significantly less time to dive into it and and understand it.
