It’s not enough. None of it is. There is no incentive for people to stay home to prevent the spread of this virus. No no seriously...let's break it down
You said $600 is not enough. AGREED?![]()

And I agree with that! We're on the same pageIt’s not enough. None of it is. There is no incentive for people to stay home to prevent the spread of this virus.
Stop being a kid - like always.
Please quote where I ever said it was "great".
I said, Its a bad bill and I said that the Dems over-comprimised. I stated that it was the best that Dems could do in despite of the BS games the Reps. were playing.
Again - im waiting..
Except the Murphy context was under a Biden presidency and VP Harris being the deciding vote. And I agree with that! We're on the same page
Now...let us discuss the scenario where the Republican controlled Senate, agrees with the House that is run by Pelosi and the Dems, that let's say....hell...fukk it...$2000 is what every American should get...
BUT WITHOUT the Liability Shield demanded by the aforementioned GOP Senate.
How does this come to pass? In the year 2020. With Donald Trump as President.
Yeah but that's not happening either so what are we really upset about??? Who is to blame? The Dems?Except the Murphy context was under a Biden presidency and VP Harris being the deciding vote.
So then you typed three posts to say you accept the shyt that Murphy proposed?Yeah but that's not happening either so what are we really upset about??? Who is to blame? The Dems?
This is the best that can be done right now given the circumstances
This entire exchange started because you were triggered at the fact that I stated McConnell once again got over on the Democrats with how he managed to conflate stimulus/COVID relief (the burning topic of the moment) and government funding. This forced Democrats to compromise and not stand their ground on relief because they would be held accountable for a government shutdown. You attempted to tell me I was wrong about that, despite a 5K+ page bill with everything jammed into it.
You then had a problem with the concept/idea that this bill would be rammed through Congress because there would not be sufficient time to dive into it and tear it apart. You kept screaming about "bi-partisan" yet multiple Democrats (an independent and even several republicans) were openly stating it wasn't enough for those who put the bill together to give them a high-level overview, they needed the time themselves to digest it.
Now we're playing semantics...so you choose your adjective/adverb then - 'great', 'good', 'ok' - it doesn't matter, you engaged me in this fruitless conversation because you saw the words 'bi-partisan' and thought that meant you were going to get an equitable bill.
There's no need to post sections of the bill at this point, several examples have already been posted. The Democrats end up with a bill that doesn't even come close enough to helping people who are in need (GOP win #1), they left negotiations having to call it a first step and a need to go back to the table once again for more (GOP win #2), the government gets funded with very little resistance (GOP win #3). All of this helps the GOP in GA which is the reason McConnell did it after months of not even bothering to entertain negotiations.
The people voted Trump out, but chose to re-elect all the Republicans that enabled his corruption and criminality these last four years....namely Mitch McConnell. The people re-elected Mitch McConnell. Lindsey Graham too. And others. Now they’re upset at only getting $600. At some point you gotta laugh at how dumb Americans are. Keep complaining about watered down milquetoast policies but keep electing the obstructionists who force that to happen. It makes NO sense.
Thread (I agree with his sentiment on messaging and how its being mishandled.)
i mean honestly, this isnt really accuraterepublicans rigged the system to where they can be the minority and still have power.
graham and McConnell rep Kentucky. That’s a deep red state. Trump lost by a wide margin in the popular vote.
But because the population is concentrated in a handful of states, republicans can easily pick off seats in states most people don’t care about. It’s basic math.
