completely refused to take a position. let's try again

today, on october 14th with a mnuchin bill on the table, what path should nancy pelosi take here? and how/when does it lead to her bill being passed?

the question could not be simpler, unless you're ashamed of your answer
There is no bill on the table. The reason the white house is negotiating with Pelosi is because:

  1. There is no bill without her signing off
  2. Whatever bill that is passed will have her blessing
:umad:

For someone always talking about having money you seem to struggle with what a negotiation is.

What sort of republican shyt is this?!

Don’t even bother with him, man. He now wants accountability meanwhile wants additional bailouts for airlines that spent a substantial amount of their free cash flows on stock buyback during 2010-2020. Then, another poster says companies can buy them out- which he laughs at. Meanwhile, I mention the 1+ trillion-dollar industry that's the sole business model is to buy companies that are in distress (Private Equity). Also, add in the fact the buying spree Buffet did via Berkshire Hathaway during the 08' crisis. Breh was quiet as hell.

What about free-market capitalism :troll:

ill just take your refusal to answer as an admission that im right :yeshrug:talking all that shyt and you dont even have the conviction to express your own ideas. embarrassing

wait a second, you can be the 6th poster who refuses to answer this simple direct question

its october 14, and mnuchin/trump put a 1.8 trillion dollar deal on the table

what path do you want pelosi to take going forward? how/when will it get her bill passed?

what is your position on what path nancy should take here, and how/when does that lead to her getting her bill passed?

See your position is to take the deal and if the republicans balk they will look bad 2 weeks before an election. what you don’t realize is most people have already made up their mind who they’re voting for. The republicans played themselves by not supporting any stimulus from May - October. That’s on them. Any political strategy concocted in that regard is meaningless.

Pelosi’s only obligation is to pass a bill with long term results. You don’t want to pass something that will put you in the same position you were in a few months down the road. You either go hard or not at all. And that’s what she’s doing. Whatever “path” it leads to then so be it. It may blow up in her face or she might get what she wants. Either way, she can say she fought for what she believed was right and by all accounts it is. States need to be funded. You’re talking billions in lost state tax revenue. Banks were labeled too big to fail, but a state like California isn’t? :dahell:

This should go beyond politics but instead everything revolves around bloods and crips. Blue and red.

Blame republicans for not taking action back in May and waiting until after the benefits expired to begin even pretending to care about extending benefits.

Despite what you say about Pelosi, so far she's gotten Republicans to move from a 500bn bill and 200/wk unemployment benefit to if reports are true up to 2tn in aid.

Everyone seems to want a big bill except Mitch. :yeshrug:

This isn't a Republican vs Democrat thing to me... and that's where I feel Wolf was with pressing Nancy. The process is broken and so are the people within that process, both Republican and Democrat. I have little love for either party.

this is unbelievable

mnuchin and trump laid out a 1.8 trillion dollar bill, which pelosi proudly rejected on national tv last night. i say she should take it, and have laid out the reasons why

if you're disagreeing with me: what is your position on what pelosi should do going forward? how and when will that lead to her getting her bill passed?

who's gonna be the first out of 6 to answer? :mjlol:

Pelosi put forth a bill that will help everyone. Then another. Both were taken to a vote and both passed.

The process is broken because McConnell is failing to so his job.

I put my rational for what Pelosi is doing already. She is being extremely risky betting on a DDD sweep - if republicans don’t pass something prior to election, and even further into lame duck season their reputation among people who need the stimulus will be in the gutter. I even laid out all potential talking points dems can use against republicans going foward.

Judging by your questions I don’t think you understand the fact I’m analyzing the reason why things are happening versus stating my opinion on how things should be.

pelosi attached her horse to this strategy a long time ago - accept it. Signing off on any bill right now serves no strategic purposes if their conviction of a sweep is so high.

Now you wana answer why additional bailouts to companies that practiced HORRIBLE financial management in the name of stock price increases should be given additional money - that’s if you REALLY believe in accountability?

her position should be what’s it’s always been :dahell: it’s not that hard. You’re the one talking about elections and political ramifications. Her position should be not to compromise anymore.

A) With everything happening at this current second - wait it out.

B) with the current political climate, she does have leverage regardless if you see it or not. A lack of stimulus being passed hurts trump more than dems.

C) Hurting trump = less likely for an re-election. Higher probability of DDD. Timeframe would be either spring, or as I have said before during lame duck when dems have ALL the leverage.

you wana go now?
