You still think there was a "deal" that could have been accepted...

:lolbron: you and everyone who thinks you were onto something are a glowing example of how uninformed the US citizenry truly is.
yes, it was written by the secretary of the treasury on behalf of the white house

if there was no deal, then how could mcconnell have warned mnuchin not to make it?

you shills just cannot admit that pelosi should have taken the 1.8 trillion :mjlol:

it kills you to admit that nancy should have taken the deal :mjlol: shes absolute trash at her job

enjoy this 900 though. far better deal :mjlol:
The Speaker of the United States House of Representatives has been negotiating covid stimulus with the Secretary of the Treasury - not the Majority Leader of the United States Senate.

I want you to sit with that.

yes, she could have gone around mcconnell and embarrassed him or forced him into action. she could have adapted the mnuchin bill as the House's bill and forced mcconnell to vote on it. trump is on tape saying he would have made the republican senate sign it

but clearly youre content to cheerlead her on the current result instead

You have been and are still missing the point. The cheerleading thing might be one of your dumbest comments because my stance on Pelosi is well documented around here.

You still don't understand how any of this works.

1. She can't go around McConnell unless she has a majority. - something she still doesn't have.
2. She can adapt the Cookie Monster's bill as a House bill if she wants, that makes no difference here.
3. Trump can't sign anything until it gets to his desk.

I think trump.did that with the LWA

Yeah. I think this is the game plan.

Mitch can play games all he wants, Biden is going to declare a National Emergency and he has already said that there will be a mask mandate for his first 100 days, so he's positioning himself to make the call.

The National Emergency will force Congress to decide on the amount of money to give out.

I found this little gem scrolling through twitter news on the stimulus package. If this is true all Schumer needs to do is round up the 48 dems and find just 3 willing GOP senators and we can get a big bill passed :ohhh:. Wtf are these people doing :mindblown:

I keep asking myself that too. Everyone keeps talking about its over if the Republicans keep the Senate but, let's say that worst case scenario happens, they'll have what a 2 person advantage. All Dems have to do is have unanimous support on their side and convince 2-3 Republicans to vote. Can't be that hard.

So back to the old playbook? Blame the people for Democrat incompetence. Just like when there was no convenient progressive to blame for losing 1000s of seats during Obama's years it was the fault of the dumb electorate.

Imagine where we could be if Democrats had half of the energy they have for progressives for attacking Republicans and proper messaging on stimulus bill and coronavirus.

Democrats aren't incompetent. The people are fukking stupid. If you watched Mitch McConnell's smug face all year laughing while you starved and you still voted Republican on the down ballot, you are a moron.

Biden got 80 million votes. So, the opportunity was there. The people voted Trump out but, for whatever reason, millions of these people also wanted Republicans in the House/Senate. How can you cry about wanting aid for your family and your businesses but, vote in the guys fighting against it. Makes no sense. Americans are really dumb though so there's no real surprise there.

What incompetence. They literally passed and oubbed numerous proposals.

Everyone in this country knows mitch McConnell is the reason why there are no bills being taken up in the senate for the greater good. Not just the stimulus, but also Healthcare, or today's Marijuana decriminalization bill.

He even said as much in the days leading up to his election.

I'm sorry, but you guys are going to have to accept at some point that people are happily voting for Republicans and don't really care about these types of things as much as you do.

A lot of people just want to get back to work. And believe that another mass stimulus bill sets the country up to be locked down again and they don't want that.

Sorry man, Americans really don't care about other people.

And republicans have no incentive to pass legislation that's for the greater good as long as their supporters stand by them.

Republican voters in a nut shell.

Why would the Senate Majority Leader, the single person standing between a stimulus bill of any kind and the american people, be shook of the guy they tell to cut the check? Are you reading what you're posting?

Let me ask you a simple question that I hope will help you understand why your position is laughable - forget the stimulus bill, can Steven Mnuchin tell Mitch McConnell no, to anything?
