This is nonsense. If no stimulus is passed, it's not because Democrats refused to budge on corporate liability. Rethuglicans have made it very clear that they have no interest in passing another stimulus at all. The corporate liability shield is nothing but a poison pill because they knew Democrats wouldn't go for it, and they shouldn't.

what lawsuits are gonna be filed in the future, if people arent even filing them 8 months into the pandemic on ANY kind of wide scale?

I don’t buy this. Republicans, like Democrats, know a stimulus has to be passed. The country can’t afford for a stimulus not to be passed. They simply hold leverage, being in control of the Senate, and are using it in these negotiations. Democrats are the ones who refuse to accept corporate liability protection.

I'm not going die if I don't get a stimulus check that I don't need, but there are people in dire situations, with families who are much worse of then me, with little hope or prosperity coming.
