This has been Mitch's gameplan from the start: throw a bunch of poison pills in the stimulus, blame the Dems for it failing, use that to carry him through the elections.
He knows the Rethuglican refusal to budge on the stimulus is hurting Loeffler and Perdue in the runoffs. So if they put garbage in the bills that the Dems won't agree to, he can say it was their fault for not giving the people relief, and it helps Leoffler and Perdue win.
Or the Dems cave and agree to it, and even if Warnock and Ossof win it has long term consequences that the Dems take the blame for, and the Rethuglicans gain seats in 2022 and 2024, possibly taking the White House back.
