Ten million people fell into poverty and we’re acting like the stock market jumping up is the news that matters. Much of that ten million are normal ass people who were living by 1-2 checks at a time. Lost their job, couldn’t pay rent. They had months to be helped thanks to the eviction freeze, but the financial help never came - nor did a new job. I think about that all the time. You go from being normal and looking forward to watching Netflix and chilling with friends...next minute you’re getting evicted by no fault of your own.
