eh i mean yeah but civil attorneys can work cases and accept payment on settlement with the defendant
I mean, attorneys taking big chunks of settlements is part of why people don't care. I get that it's a bit circular, but if you're the damaged party and need relief and a large portion goes to to attorneys and not your pockets you end up developing a viewpoint like @the cac mamba.

agreed. i was just countering your previously stated point. there is still recourse for people that want to sue but cannot afford an attorney up front

It's crazy to see this play out. I'm looking at this half empty because of Trump's empty promises, posturing, and reshaping the Republican party. The only thing I'm hoping for is that he pushes for the $2K based on maybe him getting more donations.
