The problem with this...it's not just minerals. If it was simply about rare earth minerals we could get them from Africa, Ukraine, internal (US) deposits, etc. They have to be refined, and the refineries are in China lol.

The way to combat this would have been maintaining trade relationships across the globe with allies. Instead he blew all that up months ago lol. So now it's every man for himself.

Maybe China retreats but they had to know what was coming (tariff increase). Any type of thought game on this would have to result in Trump hitting 100% tariffs again. So surely they have a plan. We'll see. End of the day we're in no position to play these games and congress has failed. They could have nixed Trump's tariff power months ago.
