Is Ark invest available on Robinhood?
Like @gabbo mentioned, robinhood isnt the best brokerage to use.

With that said, wiith investing, make sure that you have a long term outlook and regularly dollar cost average(pick a random day in a month to contribute to that stock).

With the ETF's they don't shoot right up, but over time they gradually increase.

At the very least you can’t go wrong with an index fund. It’s averaged 8-10 percent since inception

Even I have family who aren’t familiar with stocks and it’s not because we aren’t capable, we just weren’t exposed to it

to me it seems very risky to throw your money in the stock market now. shyt is a house of cards. it's being propped up, but you can't just prop it up forever.

jumping in while shyt is at an all time high, seems like a stupid move. good for people who ate good off the juiced numbers though.

Breh, there is something called a stop loss and stop limit you can put in to prevent you from losing your shyt.

Lock in your profits.

Don't be scared. Educate yourself and get the money.

Is vanguard good?
this is kinda like asking is colgate (toothpaste) good? all the toothpaste does the same thing, so you decide on ticky tack stuff - is it foamy, minty, gel, paste, etc.

all the big brokers basically do the same things, the little i know about vanguard, fees are a little higher for some types of trades and they don't have as many research tools as some of the other leading platforms, it's more geared toward long term investing. so it all comes down to what you're looking to do. i personally think TD is the best all around brokerage for most people - but fidelity, etrade, merrill, and schwab are all good picks too.

Just dollar cost average VTI and some bond etf as your core and you'll be fine. People act like they have to keep up with trading stocks every day. They make it way harder than necessary

can you clarify?

he's saying continue to buy in to VTI (a vanguard total stock market index ETF) in various intervals, buy some today for 50, next quarter for 62, if we crash next year, buy more at 48, etc.

i personally wouldn't go all VTI, but create a portfolio with ~40% in an S&P or total market index ETF (VTI, SPY, VOO, IVV), ~20-30% in QQQ (NASDAQ 100 ETF) , ~10-20% in another high growth sector ETF (ARK etfs, IGV, VGT, VUG, XLK), the rest in a solid bluechip/dividend stock

no, we meant VTI. you want quality index funds, they may be costly, but it's not a race, if you can only buy a few shares at a time, do it. so many brokerages have fractional investing now that it's no reason to not be invested in quality stocks, regardless of cost

Also stock will probably crash if the election is close and it takes some weeks to figure out who wins the presidency.

Always remember stock prices are future projections and earnings are actual facts based on earnings in the past. Once you understand that it will help you with investing better.
