I was one of the first ppl on here to make an Tidal complaint thread.....but it was valid & based on my experience.

Why would i give it more of a benefit of the doubt than I would any other app?

I mean, I wouldnt give Crackle a pass if it was 19.99 as compared to hulu and netflix's 9.99...

well, only the higher tier is 19.99. You can get it for 9.99. And I hear the sound quality on the 9.99 tier is better than Spotify's 9.99. I can't confirm that though.

Yes the media people spotify has backing them would still be going hard. The avg consumer has all the right not to fuk wit tidal because of price. Im strictly reffering to the sneaky media

I don't think the media is behind Spotify that much. It's just that they're so deep in the streaming game already it's.

Tidal was marketed poorly, and had some performance probs early on. If they really wanted to compete they shoulda came with a way to convert Spotify playlists over to Tidal playlist. There's ppl with literally hundreds of Spotify playlists and they're not gonna switch if for no other reason than that.

:mjlol::mjlol::mjlol::mjlol: at:huhldup:brainwashing y'all into believing that his company getting flack his a smear campaign and propaganda :camby:.
the minute they presented that shyt i knew it was going to fail. it's an overpriced service that enters late into a market that a) revolves around a product people can get easily for free and b) is already dominated by lower priced alternatives. plus if he wanted to get fans to pay a higher price in order to support the artists, he should have chosen smaller indie artists to campaign for it, not madonna, kanye, taylor swift and his wife :snoop: the higher quality stream is a gimmick that nobody needs, because most people listen to their streaming services on laptops or phones, where you won't notice the difference :yeshrug:.

I hate to agree with @Napoleon but hes right to a point.

Now I don't think ALL negative press towards Tidal is some conspiracy. I do think there are legitimate arguments against it. However there seems to be an overboard amount. More than just some people who hate Jay-z trying to rally the troops against it.

And yes, spreading false information on social media and blogs is an old tactic now. Businesses have been doing this on a large scale for a while now. They also do it in reverse which they will hype the shyt out of a product or artist the same way.

Agreed. This is a bit much now.

Google Glasses and Amazon Fire Phones failing didn't get this kind of publicity.

Thats all big musicians. They live to push music...I'm just getting annoyed reading about "Tidal flopped" barely a month after it even launched.

I don't even care about Tidal and I don't subscribe to any streaming services...its just annoying seeing how naive some of you all are to this propaganda by posting half-assed articles written by clear shills of the music establishment.
the shills wouldnt have a leg to stand on if the product was clearly superior to its competition and it was worth it price wise. however, its neither.

jay already had a leg up on all these other stream businesses when he was about to announce it. had everybody changing their twitter and facebook pictures. had people waiting on their computers for the conference. had people saying they were going to buy it off the strength of kanye's album being rumored to be released, etc. he dropped the ball.

its 2015, nobody is really checking for these articles like that. social media has more power than some random blogger or article. if the product is clearly superior to spotify, etc it will spread on social media and jay will eat. if its not, he'll complain and equate himself to mike brown and freddie gray to get people to buy it
:snoop:

but like you said it still has time to eat. jay has to step out of the spotlight and let the product do the talking. and as another poster mentioned in the bigger thread, he has to start making some of these exclusives to other genres of music as well (daft punk, deadmouse, chris martin). once he realizes there is more to music than him, his wife and nicki minaj, he'll make some headway

I was one of the first ppl on here to make an Tidal complaint thread.....but it was valid & based on my experience.

pretty much. i remember that thread too.

for the stans of jay z, or maybe rap fans, even after the poor first impression they might give it another chance.

but some random guy from the middle of nowhere, USA like oklahoma or someplace
:lolbron: just playin fam
has no reason to give it another chance and just stick with whats already familiar. thats why they should have had a better promo plan, have been tight on the functionality of the product, and made it cheaper than the competition
