Its fukked up when Microsoft or Sony does this. Street Fighter has been on Xbox consoles for years and suddenly it's skipping one? Deep down we all know it isn't too. There's some shady deal in place like Tomb Raider on Xbox where they can effectively lie to their customer base and say the game is exclusive when it really isn't. They'll re-release it later down the line with another title and port to everything under the sun except Nintendo platforms.

I hate how the video game industry treats us as consumers. How they lie to us and insult our intelligence Loyal customers deserve better than to be lied to and deceived just so these companies can get a few extra dollars.

Nickle and diming consumers on add ons by selling an incomplete game are much more of an insult

It would be like if your girl told you she's not fukking with you no more and she's dumping you for your rival then 6 months later she shows back up at your door like "I'm back." Come to find out she was only messing with him cause he was giving her money. You gonna take her back? The average video game consumer does the equivalent of that.

These companies have no integrity. They'll look a loyal customer in the eyes and tell him some purposely misleading BS and on the back end when that is exposed to be the lie we all knew it was still be looking to get that customer's money.

That Tomb Raider fiasco was straight disgusting. Dude knew the game wasn't really exclusive and danced around the issue and forced the developers to do the same just so they could sell a lie to people.

from the home of coca-cola, i'm not referring to s
Titanfall is a new IP so no issues there. Bayonetta 2 couldn't get funding at all until Nintendo stepped in. Even with Capcom's problems are we really gonna pretend like Street Fighter 5 wouldn't get made eventually? There's no way that compares to new or struggling IPs having a backer fund them.

When an established multi-platform game with a long history goes "exclusive" that's BS no matter what side gets it. Street Fighter has been a multiplatform game since the 90s. Hell probably a couple decades right?

And since the 90s SF has sold over 30 million copies.. SF being console exclusive is complete bullshyt and some fukked up shyt straight out of MS playbook, but folks in here acting like SF5 wont move systems are wilding

"Eventually" doesn't mean it would be coming when it is, nor does it mean it would have gotten the same budget or attention it will now.

Devs have been struggling, even though their games are classic franchises, money is tight. This is a good way to get the game out the door with less risk, its also a good way for platform holders to incentivize the purchase of their product. Gamers still get the games they love and don't have to worry about classic franchises/studios going under. It's a win win as far as I'm concerned:manny:

Making games that were available on all platforms and making them exclusive to one later is a dikk move to keep it 100. It was a dikk move when Microsoft did it to Tomb Raider and its a dikk move for Sony to do it with Street Fighter. Especially when their is a significant fan base for certain games on other consoles.

Eh....to be REALLY 100 about it, considering that EXCLUSIVE used to be SINCERELY exclusive back in the days between different consoles and as much as folks started bytching about consoles not having exclusives anymore and sharing all the same games, thus not really differentiating the consoles much, it'd kinda be cool to go back to that. And since in reality, these tend not to be sincere exclusives, but just timed ones these days, it's not much a dikk move at all.

Yeah, for the competitive nature, I do kinda feel like some games should always be on all platforms (like fighters, perhaps even, if only, predominantly for fighters), but just the same, I've never felt right about Tekken being on a non Sony platform (you liable to feel the same too huh homie), so there goes that.

And yeah, one as big as SF being exclusive will move fans of that series away from that other platform to get them or at least have them buy the platform that it's on as well.
