MKX is hot garbage compared to MK9. Bad character designs and braindead gameplay. MK was never good competitively but 9 was way more fun to play casually, and better to look at visually.
SFV....jury is still out but IMO its boring as all hell and instead of moving the genre forward they scaled it back and made it too easy. Third Strike remains the best in the series and no doubt its because the gameplay was more complex therefore more exciting because of the parry and what the players could do with it. SF3 is about reading the opponent, SFV whoever is the biggest nerd and knows all the frame data and best spacing will win.
Guilty Gear is the best fighter on ps4 for people who actually like fighting games. Its complex as hell and you wont ever feel like you already know everything.

I know SFV just came out, but I never copped or played MKX, so I just wanna make the right choice on which one i should cop/play first. I'm leaning towards SFV though, just cause turbo SF on SNES was my GOAT game back in the day.
They took Cyrax and made him into single variation of a DLC character that looks like shyt.
MKX blockstring system is oppressive, pretty much broken.
All the chicks in MKX have been redesigned terribly. Hell all the new characters added in X are wack except Erron Black. MK9 roster was not only legit as fukk, but whole roster was fun to use. You could see me running Reptile, Ermac, Cyrax, Mileena, down the line I played with almost the entire roster and enjoyed it. MKX gameplay wise I had no fun with 90 percent of the roster.
The story mode in 9 was godlike, X was some random bullshyt and it was shorter than 9. MKX only thing it has going for it is that it has more powerful graphics, but story, character and stage design is ass so what does it matter?

MKX, it's complete. SFV won't have all the goodies till like September or so. Plus MKX would be cheaper
Expect a game to be finished when its released a month before it's original release date brehs
Be told by Capcom that the game will be added on over time, but choose to not wait until it's finished, buy it as it's released early and bytch about it anyways brehs.

I can't wait till June for updates and September for the complete version. I'ma just pick up SFV since I have a best buy gift card and rock with it. I play local 2 player mostly anyway.
Need to give my nephews that work this weekend. When Turbo SFV gets released though.
