Street Fighter V vs. Mortal Kombat X

MKX is hot garbage compared to MK9. Bad character designs and braindead gameplay. MK was never good competitively but 9 was way more fun to play casually, and better to look at visually.

SFV....jury is still out but IMO its boring as all hell and instead of moving the genre forward they scaled it back and made it too easy. Third Strike remains the best in the series and no doubt its because the gameplay was more complex therefore more exciting because of the parry and what the players could do with it. SF3 is about reading the opponent, SFV whoever is the biggest nerd and knows all the frame data and best spacing will win.

Guilty Gear is the best fighter on ps4 for people who actually like fighting games. Its complex as hell and you wont ever feel like you already know everything.

So video games haven't gotten any better in over 20 years?I play SF4 3D on my 3DS and that shyt is like nothing I've ever played before.

Also, Tekken 3 shytted on SF2 and MK2 when it was released imo.

I can't wait till June for updates and September for the complete version. I'ma just pick up SFV since I have a best buy gift card and rock with it.

I play local 2 player mostly anyway. Need to give my nephews that work this weekend.

Mortal Kombat XL just came out. I'll bet coli cash that another version of SFV comes out within the next 12 months with all the DLC included.

I don't know about that, they plan on putting earnable DLC characters for the whole life span of the game. From my understanding MKX is done with DLC characters which is why we're getting the XL version. If you're thinking we're getting a street fighter v "XL" type version we'll be waiting for more than a year.

I guess Capcom is struggling then. I thought those special editions were easy money grabs. I would cop day 1 if it dropped. Guess I just have to keep updating the version I have.

Yea I wasn't following the pre release press stuff. I think it might still happen though if the sales are good enough. Never say never.

Expect a game to be finished when its released a month before it's original release date brehs
Be told by Capcom that the game will be added on over time, but choose to not wait until it's finished, buy it as it's released early and bytch about it anyways brehs.

as i stated previously, gonna wait for super street fighter v arcade edition with all the characters unlocked, like with mkxl.

Yea, that thread can be made for another day I guess. I made this thread really just to decide weither I should cop SFV after all the backlash over no real single player story and no arcade mode.

I played SFV for a bit earlier vs cpu and I'm diggin' it, even if the menus and shyt are completely new.

I was always more of a SF/Tekken guy which is why I held off on getting MKX. I still think MKX looks way better from what I've seen though.
