People really have to stop using the term "industry plant" because it fukks up what they're trying to say and folks don't take it seriously.

Artists who are astroturfing and industry plants are NOT the same thing, but people keep swapping those terms for each other incorrectly all the time. It's almost as bad as people who say "literally" often when that's not what they mean at all.

With that said, Chance The Rapper is blowing up because everyone who listens to him is always high or buzzed off something. Acid Rap sounds listenable when you're fukked up... sober, that is some really mediocre music which borderlines on terrible. But... white folks love him, so he'll be Kid Cudi in '09 status before you know it.
