They wanted him to create a show around America 250. He didn't want to get political.

His shows are already political

He shyts on liberals every chance he gets, not to mention the natives being at odds with the yellowstone ranch

:dwillhuh:

He actually portrays Natives in a good light as humans. How is beef of Natives vs Europeans political? Like it actually is real. At least he's not on some stereotypes of them. He actually showed those awful ' christian ' schools they had.

Do you remember those old John Wayne type flicks?

And shytting on a woman who thinks her electric vehicle is "safe " when you gotta drill for dirty ass minerals is hardly shytting on liberals.

Considering these shows are based in Texas and Oklahoma they can be much more political

Ok and the main reason he left is because they meddled with his budgets and shyt. Hell the main point of the article that the section you quoted is from is about him being unhappy with Parmount fukking with actual shyt. Him turning down the American anniversary show is a non issue.

Here is the actual full WSJ article for you to read yourself: https://archive.is/N4zqX
Here are some quotes from that article
Sheridan’s decision to depart shows the delicate line executives like Ellison have to walk in trying to foster talent while maintaining some control and managing costs. Ellison wanted to keep Sheridan in the fold but felt the previous regime was too deferential, a person familiar with his thinking said.

Sheridan wasn’t pleased with the departure of Paramount executive Chris McCarthy, who steered much of Sheridan’s work through Paramount+, the people close to the star writer and producer said.

The relationship between Sheridan and Ellison’s team quickly went south, the people close to the producer said. A film script Sheridan pitched was rejected by the new team at Paramount’s movie studio. Sheridan felt disrespected, especially given that he had a solid movie record, having written “Sicario” and “Hell or High Water,” the people close to him said.

Sheridan was particularly aggrieved when the budget on his Paramount+ show “Lioness,” a spy series starring Zoe Saldana and Nicole Kidman, was challenged. A person familiar with Paramount’s thinking acknowledged they are looking at budgets differently than previous management.

Further irking Sheridan: Paramount tapped Kidman to star in a new Paramount+ legal drama called “Discretion” without telling him, one of the people familiar with the matter said, a decision that could impact the timing of shoots for the show.

All that cutting budgets, getting rid of his guys happened because he didn't want to play ball IMO. If you play ball with the Admininstration you get what you want for the most part i.e. Dana White/UFC getting a 8 billion dollar deal with Paramount. That's not a coincidence. Paramount didn't see NBC coming in and stealing him.

Or this is all shyt that happens when a merger happens and has fukkall to do with politics.
Zaslav did the same shyt when he took over Warner Bros. Cutting budgets and firing the ppl you didnt hire is what happens in 99% of mergers/buyouts.
That's why Nolan not fukking with WB anymore when that was his closet studio relationship, Zaslav came in meddling with a lot of shyt.

:ohhh: Yellowstone started off crack and then fell all the way off just like Power did too
Power first season was good

Yellowstone fell off after the first episode

I did like the black dude and his hillbilly white girlfriend from clips on YouTube

Can't believe they killed him off, should have gave them a spinoff.

Hope that guy gets more work
