Nah it was a joke earlier in the episode Stretch was talking about how Foxy came over to record something and his pops was there and was flirting with her

Went to the premier in Philly on Wednesday and the movie is excellent. I grew up in Boston not having access to the show as a kid but hearing the stories and the records took me back to being a kid and then eventually getting into 88.9 (Boston college radio) for the same reasons they did their thing.

I think Bobbito hit an interesting point in regards to early 90's Hip Hop. 90 to 92 hardly ever gets appreciation for having a balance of up tempo beats that's danceable for the club's back then and lyrics that still had a lil substance to them. I started listening to Stretch and Bob in early 92 and by late 93, you started hearing the tempo change and more of a distinction between what's nowadays considered underground or commercial. In 90/91, it was all on even playing field. By 96/97, it was definitely a clear divide.
