I'm thankful I met two of my very best friends - both white, one jewish - back when I was very young and unaware of race relations. It'd be very difficult for me to want to build a close relationship now with whites with my 24 year old mind set. It's just really hard to trust and feel comfortable around them. I feel really disheartened about it- especially after the Trayvon tragedy and the Sterling situation really revealed people's hearts.

The ones in denial frustrate me almost as much as blatant racists do, and unfortunately it feels like the majority of whites - at least in America - fit firmly into one of those two camps.
don't you think maybe you could've remained that way, if not for the certain people (failures) in your life trying to infect your thoughts so you don't better yourself? burdening yourself with something that isn't relevant to you?

I disagree with anyone who thinks blacks cant be racist. I disagree with anyone who thinks that no blacks have enough power to oppress whites/hispanics/blacks. Racism is racism #noexcuses
Again....demonstrate when black racism came at the expense of the white collective.

I need clear cut examples of black racism exhibiting itself over a wide range of white folks for it to suddenly be this across the board thing whites have been clamoring to trend to absolve themselves of their past and current shortcomings tied to racism.

Stuart Scott and Screamin A claiming Blacks/Hispanics can't be racist is the most ignorant thing I have ever heard.

TYRONE GA!
a racist person is a person who doesnt like another race and has economic...political....government...etc... clout to oppress persons of that group...now a particular white person might not necessarily have the power to do that...but the white race as a whole can....and has....

a bigot...is a prejudiced person...simply doesnt like a group but has no real power to oppress them

While true, the overwhelming majority of people use the word "racist" instead of "bigot"

Someone care to tell me how "black racism" affects the white collective in any shape, form or fashion?

Thanks

If name calling was all there is to it to racism, I'd GLADLY live in that world.

It would take a CENTURIES to get even remotely close to making it equal...

Holla back at me when we've had 43 Black presidents in a row...Lets revisit this conversation then...

It's like this... Stabbing someone with an ice pick 70 times can be considered "assault"..Finding the person that stabbed you and slapping them harshly in the face is also technically "assault"..But it's lazy and disengenious to just pretend that they are remotely close to being the same thing or have the same effect...

Thats what this whole "reverse racism" conversation sounds like to me.. White Americans won't have the right to claim to be victims of this in MY lifetime, or in the lifetime of any of my great grandchildren...

And for a country that preaches and eye for an eye whenever they are violated by outsiders, I don't see why they can't comprehend this..

Exactly the point I try to drive home whenever people start spewing this 'reverse-racism' nonsense.

Even with the lynching...it's not that lynching was the problem (I mean it's certainly a problem in the same way all acts of violence are a problem) it's the fact that the ruling majority from the legislature to the courts to the police down to the ordinary citizen either supported it (either the act itself or by hindering our right to defend against it) or took a :yeshrug: attitude towards it.

I'm no linguist so I don't care to argue the finer details of the words/terms racism, bigot, discrimination, prejudice, etc. It's institutional racism that we need to eradicate. It's kind of fukked up that shyt like Sterling's comments are what galvanize the population, but....baby steps, I guess. :manny:

That's the thing. When you start adding adjectives to racism, blacks have demonstrated no such thing. "institutional" "economic" racism.....where is black history performing these insidious practices at the expense of the white collective?

I don't see it. Even with Black institutions, they were created by white isolationism.

I seriously need to know the "(fill in the blank)__________ racism" blacks have done to whites.

BLACKS DO NOT DISLIKE OTHER PPL BECAUSE THE COLOR OF THEIR SKIN...
THAT ONLY HAPPENS TO BLACKS...

RETALIATING TO RACISM IS NOT RACISM...

BLACKS HAVE BEEN CONDITIONED SINCE BIRTH THE LOVE OTHERS
AND TURN THE OTHER CHEEK
WHILE EVERYONE shytS ON YOU.

WHEN BLACKS GET FED UP AND STARTS CALLING CACS CRACKKKAS
THATS NOT RACISM.

IF THE CLIPPERS STARTED shytTING ON JEWS...
HOW COULD YOU BLAME THEM?

2 WRONGS MEME IS ONLY USED WHEN BLACKS GET FED UP.

BLACKS HAVE LEGIT REASONS TO DISLIKE NON BLACKS...

REASONS THAT ACTUALLY AFFECT BLACKS.

ASK A NON BLACK WHY THEY DISLIKE BLACKS
AND GET AN ANSWER THAT HAS NO AFFECT ON THEIR LIVES...

BUT WE ALL KNOW THE REAL ANSWER IS
BECAUSE WE ARE BLACK.

This is one (of many) reasons racism is never going anywhere. No one wants to be held accountable for their bullshyt. "I can't be a racist I don't have political power." :dahell:

What's next? Women can't be sexist?

Explain a time in US history when black people have oppressed white people. :usure:

Explain a time when black people had a benefit that whites didn't have.
Describe one law or policy that benefitted blacks that left whites at a disadvantage. :usure:

Do you realize that there were actual laws that made sure black people couldn't vote, laws that denied blacks education, whites weren't even prosecuted for committing crimes against black people. :usure:

There were laws that prevented black people from living certain places. Why do black people get prosecuted and convicted 10 times more for the same crime as a white person commits? :usure:

Breh...I agree that racism on our end hasnt been nearly as prevalent or nearly as devastating as theirs but I really believe it is a taught concept. If a man teaches his son to hate white people because he had bad interactions with some of them, he is teaching his child to hate a race based on his interactions with certain white people. The LA riots, where white people that had nothing to do with police brutality, were being beat to a pulp for driving down the wrong street. Those were hate crimes derived from racism if you werent attacking the people that did King wrong.

I dont understand why it has to be costing people as a collective. Trayvon was killed due in part to racism. If a black person kills a white person because of stereotypes due to their race, I consider that racism :manny:

Thank you...

When people bring up Black on white crime as an example of racism, I ask them to answer this..

After a Black man carjacks and beats a white woman..How many times has a Black police officer, all Black jury and Black judge decided to let them off with probation or community service, or refuse to bring charges at all?

THAT would be racism.. And that has never existed on a large scale on U.S. soil...

The one time it came remotely close to happening (with a majority Black O.J. jury in 1995) America lost its collective minds and still hasn't been able to get over it...
