Only I had 4K in debt when I graduated, thanks pops for the GI Bill

Down to 2K nkw. Planning to start my Masters next fall though so im going hard for these scholarships

How do you only owe 10k? I went to community college but tuition a year ALONE is 14k! I live at home with my parents at 22! And I could only work on the weekends, no way I can work and finish a degree like Comp Sci

Wife was sitting on $240K as of last year, for med + business school. She rich and makes more than that a year so it was worth it. Pays like $3K a month. Hoping to knock it out completely in 10 years.

I know someone who has 250,000 in debt she doesn't care she's a pharmacist make $70 and hour. Stop bytching if you racked up loans with a worthless degree that's your fault. Even I have a shytty degree with over 60,000 in loans but I make great money and wouldn't change if for anything my job is paying for my masters.

I decided to put my bachelor's degree on hold and go for an associate degree at my local community college and now I get paid to go to school.

No debt and when I get job in my field I can have the company pay for the bachelor's degree

This thread needs to be stickied so the young brehs coming out of high school don't make bad financial decisions.

Going to community college doesn't always help if your parents make decent salaries. I went the community college route and tuition alone costing me 14k a year! I COMMUTE FROM HOME GODDAMNIT! I wish there was an HBCU in New Jersey.. I'd go to that shyt as it'd probably be 7k a year

The only reason I went to college because my parents forced me to.

I was working my first semester at community college too so I could move out.

I knew the shyt was a scam, I should have worked during community college and the summer

I don't disagree with what you're saying, but the consumer is NOT innocent. Stop signing up for shyt when you don't know what you're getting into. Also for the people complaining their degree didn't land them a job, I'd like to see their grade point average or just get an insight on the level of effort put in to obtain their degree. People do the least and expect the most. A college is a business, why are you expecting them to have your best interest in mind anyway. If the mindset of people changed, I feel one part of the issue will be resolved.

"College is a business" is the worst mindset for education, period! That's why this country is going to implode.

Sometimes, I think we forget that people have other debts in addition to student loans. That's what makes it so difficult to pay back.

She could have credit card debt as well. Maybe a car loan, too.

I actually had scholarships at most of the schools I applied to for undergrad but went to Wharton. Really didn't have a choice.......I got into Wharton so I had to go.
