Student loans paused until August 31st. Is Biden doing the right thing here?

With Financial aide? And I’m talking about now
Financial Aid? :mjlol:

You mean student loans?

I just checked and the annual tuition at my community college when I first enrolled in 2012 was $4,000 for the entire year.

This year it's at $7,461 :wtf: :mjlol:

And that's if you live in the district.. if you live out of the district it's more.. if you live out of state it's even more.. out of the country? even more.

If you've been saving this entire time and not paying it you are actually getting fukked.. because your money is losing value sitting in the bank due to inflation.. what we at 11% now?

This. Cancel them or If you aren't going to cancel them stop delaying them.

The collapse of the US is going to be something for the history books
:wow:
US will never collapse.. the lawmakers and people that allow it to get fukked have an invested interest in seeing the ship stay afloat.

Good advice but they ain't finna follow this
:mjlol:

nikkas going to do the exact opposite
If the pandemic hasn't allowed one to reevaluated how they save money, it's never gonna happen. Every dollar adds up one way or another. I'm still not finished paying my loans, but because I saved as if I was still paying for it, now I don't dread the emails and phone calls, and if by some chance they ever outright cancel it, now I got a stash of money I can do whatever with. I did that with the stimulus and that shyt came in handy when I got hurt and went to the hospital.

That peace of mind is worth saving that money.

A lot of people did save cash during the pandemic.

that’s bad advice. The good advice is to pay them as if they’re stilll due every month. Take advantage of those straight principal payments.

people are responsible enough to save and then pay down that lump sum lo

The longer the extension, the better. I hope I can get them paid off before it ends.

They need to quit playing and cancel them. Economy already inflated enough, that lil bit won't hurt.
Canceling them is never gonna happen as much as I think they should

And even if they do it also doesn't prevent the debt from piling back up, it's putting a band aid on a disease that has spiraled out of control which is the price of college

Canceling has to paid for by congress. That means a bill has to be passed by both chambers

At some point, people will come to terms with the fact that it’s not getting canceled anytime soon

Whoever has loans should be taking advantage of this period to pay down the principal
