in terms of production, or tangible/beneficial impact IMHO this is probably the best move at this point. Which is shytty to say that SEPARATION may be the most pragmatic way to turn the direction of the AA community in america around.

Granted, there's an entire road full of roadblocks and turns into the wrong direction that riddle this solution but I don't see anything changing the current status quo enough to alter the current direction.



Even if they do legalize and grant amnesty to all the non violent offenders in prison the damage is done. YEARS and GENERATIONS of these policies are in place. Broken family, broken neghborhoods, broken cities, broken education, misguided children having children that in turn end up more misguided than their parents.... Injecting thousands of inmates with no skills into the current situation WOULD NOT HELP. You'd literally need to set up a..."reservation" type of place and or rebuild entire areas....which IMHO would face now the same BS places like Pruitt-Igoe faced in the 50-60's.

THe more i think on it the less A plausible solution is even tenable...

This is the reason why reparations are needed. The damage done is so severe widespread and institutional that there really isnt any other real solution. Anything else is putting a bandaid on a broken leg... im glad folks are starting to wake up to the reality of this country... even when you think your winning as a black male your losing... you work ass off to get a masters and a "good" job making 60k year thinking you made it while your cac coworker has no degree, a dui, and makes more than you.. growing up my folks always said you gotta work twice as hard for half the credit but to keep it real it all that workin aint worth it no more. something gotta give.

I'm thinking a communal "casino" type of thing like the natives have would be a start where funds from the "casino" could be dispersed out by an elected group or something. That way you have a source of generating wealth vs a one time payout. (feed a man to fish vs teach a man to fish).

This is only the monetary side of things, there are still several generations of "change" that need to take effect.

When i say reparations im not referring to cutting every black person a check. Reparations can come in many forms and that can be debated in another thread. But the goal of reparations no matter what they are has to be black economic empowerment. Thats where the integration movement failed. It should have been a partnership rather than blacks assimilating into the dominant white society. We have to control our destiny. It can be done. And what these racist dont realize is that strengthening black america economically would benefit this country as a whole.
