Blame that demon Ronald Reagan for that bullshyt. It’s ironic when America was most prosperous it was when taxes were high in the rich from FDR until Nixon. It’s simple math. You tax the rich government gets more revenue to invest things that matter for the country(infrastructure, healthcare, education, jobs, etc). When you don’t you have deficits and that leads to high debt. If Republicans truly cared about the debt and deficit they would be for tax cuts to the rich and defense spending cuts. The Republican Party wants to turn America to the USSR where domestically the economy and infrastructure is trash and declining while pulling trillions on a massive military industrial complex to maintain empire.

Yeah, and everyday people eat that up.

People think that they can be billionaires and treat poor people like shyt. Wanting to aspire to some irrational standard of flaunting wealth, instead of going back to the FDR standard and building up America properly.

You need a better tax preparer

If you aren't in school, a contractor who can claim work expenses, a home owner, self-employed, low income, and single with no kids it's a wrap.

Unless you're suggesting I do what many do and lie on my taxes. Not looking to get into that.

I know people who own homes and lie about work and renovations on them. People who claim the kids of others. People who claim dependents that don't live with them.

I don't get into all that crap.
