A "study" came up with that?
How about we ask people who actually have to RUN these companies

They would get sued if they did the bolded, especially if a four year degree isn't needed to complete the job.
Everything is going to automation anyways... the bank I work at is about to install EATM's and thats a hood bank at that.you're right. but who would they hire, i figure a majority of the degree holders and maybe 15-20% of those they know that they can "control" with that $15/hr wage.
not only that, NO ONE would actually get a full 40 hr week every week, let alone ANY week. shyt, they pay fast food managers that $31K yearly wage. *I* make that.
In my experience, those who are degreed are better at making high pressure decisions and dealing with difficult customers and employees.

Might as well gone head and raise it to at least 10
Minimum skills=minimum wage
Minimum wage jobs were never supposed to be long-term career options. Flipping burgers isn't a skill that demands a liveable wage.
yea we are doing the jobs of 2-3 people, its quite sad...they keep trying to sell me on moving up, but when i got recommended for promotion 2 months in they closed out the job i was supposed to get promoted tooyou work at a bank bih? shyt
cause with automation, the employees that are left will be looked at to do more. people love technology but piss on it when it takes the jobs.

There hasn't been a signicant wage increase in a while, yet somehow you can no longer buy a $1 fry or dollar cheeseburger. Some of you "educated" nikkas live in an alternate reality. This thread is about McDonalds specifically, and the cost of a big Mac going up by 22 cents you talking about a price increase of $30 on something else. What that got to do with McDonalds![]()
Livable wage is subjective to where you live. And what is defined as a livable wage is laughable in most places. Why should companies like McDonald's be allowed to make billions of dollars in profits and not pay a living salary to its employees?
The thing is though to a person like me, nothing aside from surgery is a real skill. So all you certified IT heads, all you corporate kissasses would be making $10. See how that shyt works? All it takes is for ONE person with a similar mindset to get control of a corporation and set a precedent.Minimum skills=minimum wage

Look who you're quoting breh. It's like saying we should ask billionaires, who benefit from the currently poorly structured tax code, if it needs to be re-written.So you think we should ask the people who run the fast food chains to provide us with the information we use to determine whether or/ how much we should raise min wage. The people who's whole buisness model is based on having low paid employees.![]()
