I never spend more than $50 on dates. Well, never is probably too strong a word. But, it's rare that I spend more than $50-60. I let women know early on that I want to see what they can do in the kitchen. I get home-cooked meals from the women I date.

I'll take them out here and there, but they're buying groceries and cooking for a breh, regularly. It's a good give and take. That's the type of balance brehs should be aiming for.

Yeah, I cook on Sundays usually. We stay in all day after church. I don't live with him.

You're not cooking enough. This dude is dropping $150 several days out the week and you're only cooking one funky meal on Sunday.

He's either a simp or doesn't have any other options. There's no way I'd be dropping $150 several days out the week. And I have the means to do that, financially.

Why must my meals be funky.loll

Anyways, I don't know what to tell you, mamba. If spending less than $50 means you're The Winner of Dating, or if it makes you happy, or makes you officially not-a-simp, or whatever the case, that's good!

I didn't post about my situation for competition sake. Because of the outrage expressed throughout this thread, I was just sharing the perspective that over $100 on a first date isn't problematic for all guys.

Do what you want/ and what you can.

Whether a man can or cannot, that type of money shouldn't be spent on a first date.

As @Emperor_ReinScarf noted, a lot of dudes aren't even spending that type of money on gifts for their parents or grandparents. Yet, they're willing for fork out that type of money for women they barely know.

This is the "first" date we're talking about. No "first" date should be that expensive.

I really wasn't trying to argue with you on your attitude towards dating or your situation. Just saying not everyone is in the same boat. But by all means do your thing.

That's crazy. A first date, really the first couple of dates, should be very low key. A seasoned dude knows that the first few dates don't count anyway. You're just feeling each other out.

Why would you spend so much money on someone you don't even know? And are not even sure you want to hang around yet?

The first couple of dates should be simple like getting coffee, taking a walk at the park, having some ice cream, etc.

Dudes who spend like that on women they just met are fattening frogs for snakes. You put yourself in a position where you can be used as "free dinner date" dude. Women can pick up on a dude that is so eager to impress that he breaks himself. And that dude will be broken by b#tch after b#tch.

Peace

And I would ask, if these dudes are spending this kind of bread on dates for chicks, if/when do the chicks return the favor? And how quickly?

Something tells me that poll would get few answers :mjlol:

It's crazy, breh. I tell these chicks straight up: they're going to be cooking. A date or two is usually followed by a home-cooked meal. I've yet to have one who doesn't oblige.

I can't believe nikkas are out here spending $200 on dates with randoms. The game is all fukked up.

Same boat? No man should be forking out that type of money for a date with a woman he barely knows.

Should a woman cook for a man she barely knows?

I feel ya. I enjoy a home cooked meal myself. Also, why not let a chick pick up the tab sometimes?

Nothing better than eating a nice meal, seeing that bill hit the table with the three digits and watching a young lady with manicured nails drop that card in that restaurant folder with no hesitation. Tis a beautiful sight to behold.

Peace
