Stupid Ass Questions on Job applications unappreciation

I can't even imagine what Black Friday/Christmas is like.

I met some woman who worked at that Kohls for 8 years. God damn. I honestly want to ask her how much she gets paid per hour. shyt is wild that she is doing the same job that I am for that whole time period and getting paid the same amount.
Kohls basically keeps every department under staffed.

Yeah they train everyone. You have to clean bathrooms and empty trash cans, clean spills,carts,etc. Dont ever go! you have enough work to do and people are always giving you work someone else didn't do. Also, when your leaving work or going on lunch, take off your red shirt or put a jacket over it. Customers don't give a fukk about your lunch or shift ending. I was cashiering one day, I was about to go to lunch. So my manager turn off my light and stood in my line, so no one would get in it. This white chick stood in line behind my her, my supervisor told the women "she is closed" this broad got an attitude and said " lot of work getting done around here" my and my sup laughed about that.

Also if a customer ask you where something is point and give directions, but don't walk them to it all the time. People are lazy and want to you to shop for them. There was a customer that complained about an employee. The customer handed the employee a list and wanted them to get the items and meet them at the register. A manager had to tell the customer that we don't do that.

Ha @ understaffed. That's every store at non-holiday periods like now. It's a woman I talk to at the local Wal-greens and she been there a good while & make less than I do at my other non retail job. And I've been there since February and I make more than her. I didn't want to tell her that.

Women are the worst customers. It's not bad dealing with men cause they don't really try stuff on. But working in retail sometimes makes me hate my gender. At least when I was in the men's department I would flirt a bit to make the time go quicker. I don't see how people work retail for so long. It's a girl I was talking to about buying a swimsuit from my store cause they're pretty cheap now. She began to tell me how nice their quality of clothes were I hit her with the and told her how I don't wear clothes straight off the clearance rack. Because u never know who's funky unwashed ass has had them on before u decided to purchase that particular item. That's right, u may wanna wash your clothes before putting it on.

True shyt. Women bathroom and clothing section are always the worst. Women are disgusting. I can't tell you how many times I found poop on the wall. No lie, my first job someone pooped and smeared it down 2 aisles. I was showing a customer where something was and saw it. Crazy. Never work the fitting room and wash everything before you wear it, especially swim suits. Countless times when I check the fitting rooms Id find those bikini liners with blood on them. And we took the carpet out of our fitting room (at Target of course) because someone peed on the floor, and the smell wouldn't come out. A kid peed on the floor and the mom just left it there, tossed the kids underwear in trash can I had to sit by.

Yeah moms have their kids piss on a pile of clothes if they are too lazy to get them to the bathroom or they piss on them themselves because they couldn't get what they wanted from the store.

YESSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!! Men are chill. You get some weird male customers but most are chill. Female customers want to shoot your head off if they can't get that 40% discount. Like Damn girl just because you've been shopping here for 5 years don't mean you getting a 90% discount.

Target sucks. I can write article about it. First thing they train everyone as a cashier, but if your on the schedule as a cashier lots of times there will only be 2 people up there I use to have 8 am shift I would be the only cashier there for 2 hours and I would constantly call people off the floor. But when I was scheduled on the floor they would constantly call you off the floor because they try to save money by not scheduling enough but then the people on the floor can't finish their job because they keep having to be back cashiers.

Some advice: 1. When they call for extra cashiers, try to go as little as possible.
2. Dont do extra work.
3. Dont help anyone out
4. If they start to put you in a position you didn't ask for, not trained for quit.
5. Dont stress yourself out
6. Dont time limit they tell you to seriously.
Basically do your job first, because they will pass other jobs on you. And they are not gonna appreciate what you did anyway. (Ex: if you go up for back up cashier, you will be up their for 2 hours and you can't get a manager to block off your register which will make you miss your lunch, then get mad at you for not keep the schedule and not finishing the work in your section...But you were helping out right...they don't care)

Sounds exactly like retail.

Schedule people the minimum but want maximum production.

I work at Burlington,and they pretty much want us to be hustling,sweating hanging and ticketing clothes. A job that took 8hrs to do last year,we now have to do in 3hours.

My job went from 30hrs to 12-15 hours a week.
