I been going to the gym for the past 3 weeks and the first week I worked by legs I did:

5 sets of squats
5 sets of leg presses
5 sets of leg extensions
5 sets of some machine that works your hamstrings
5 sets of seated calf raises

My fukking legs hurt for a week and I was scared to hit them again but I did anyway. Now my upperbody doesn't really get that sore anymore but my legs always get doms and some said it was because i'm sorta tall. I'm trying to hit legs 3 times a week but being sore like this makes me just want to work my upperbody and have bird legs. Am I supposed to work legs once a week and leave it at that? I go to the gym every morning btw.

I'm trying to do one day upper and the next lower with 30 minutes of cardio after each weight lifting session.

I squat once a week and in between time I do HIIT. Stationery bike, jump rope, basketball, sprints.

Make sure to stretch before and after. People don't fukk w/ stretching for some reason:why:

There's no uniform answer since people's bodies have different recovery times. From wha it sounds like, for you, you should only squat heavy once per week.

Or you could just start using them needles and you'll be able to easily overcome that soreness. :troll:

You need to stretch after working on legs. I'm talking about 5 - 10 minutes, quads, hamstrings, calves, gluteus maximus, lower back.
If you are a beginner, my guess is that you aren't blasting through hundreds of pounds of weight, like me. Try to give your legs at least one day of rest.

Seems like going to the gym everyday maybe problematic. It would probably make more sense to just do SL until you reach optimal level with your squats. Adequate rest is equally important. Cardio and calisthenics movements can still be performed on, "off" days.

With squatting consistently the soreness eventually goes away with time. It took me 2-4 weeks(vaguely remember). But now I can squat 2-3x a week and not feel a slight wince of pain afterwards.

Stretching on, off days is a vital difference maker.

Try thoroughly stretching( 45+ seconds per position) follow it through with some air squats (3x15)

Yes and no. Depends on your intensity. I would suggest mixing low weight/high repetition sets on some days and medium-heavy weight/low repetition sets on other days.
Form is most important when doing squats and deadlifts. Prevent injury and maximize strength. There is no need to macho-man it. I've seen so many dudes put on four 45 lbs. plates because they have an ego. Form and actual depth of each squat was a joke. :trash:

Do not go super-heavy using leg curl and leg extension machines.

Honestly like the "Unit" said it depends. For me squatting once a week didn't do sh*t. My quads really started coming in when I amped up the squat routine to 3x a week. Consistency breeds confidence, pain and soreness become irrelevant, meanwhile adequate preparation such as stretching is underrated.

:whoa: :whoa: :whoa:

Not saying curls are off limits, but overhand pull-ups are the way to go in terms of warming up. No comparison.

Wide Overhand pull-ups >>>> bicep curls...
