BIG is goat off pure talent. He was the most complete rapper IMO.

However, his legacy is diminished by the fact that he has only two albums. It's only so much you can listen to the same songs.

But if you put his only two albums against anyone else's first two then you'll see how he's a contender. RTD and LAD back to back is crazy. Pure talent.

Pac is the goat for far more reasons than BIG is

Bruh face was the first one in hip hop on that dark, kills yourself, crazy type of shyt. That's why pac loved him. Pac was heavily influenced by him and big bit pac
Pac had waaaaaaaaaaay more than that and that's why your point is null and void.

Look Canibus is the one that really got this ball rolling during his beef with LL. Yes Puffy and Bad Boy of course were there but when Canibus called Big the GOAT on "2nd Round K.O." it spraked the debates that we are now having. Then LL naming his LP after that battle "GOAT" as a way to state his case to sit at the table of the Hip Hop Gods. Is there a "Definitive Goat"? As a consensus? No but there are about several emcees that have a strong case that make it undinable they are in the conversation. There are so many factors to consider but impact is a very important aspect to this.

Some emcees have higer overall standing than others. In Big's case he did it with limited material so that makes him ever greater to have that type of impact with his first two albums. Pac has a case, sure. Nas. Yea. Hov, course. Rakim, LL, KRS, Yes, Yes, Yes. There are tons of rappers that can have the GOAT title. The point of the matter is Big Legacy as an emcee is why he's called the GOAT. His bars have constantly been sampled, remix and reused annually to the point there entire videos of emcees reusing his rhymes. Rapper just subconsiously at this point find a way get get a Big bar in their verse. I mean for 2 albums that's a lot of lyric sampling. And here we are 18 years after the Canibus quote And Big is still being called the GOAT. Little did Canibus know, this would probably become his most reconized and famous bars ever.

Was listening to Big earlier, phenomenal, great lyricist, delivery, flow, potent lyrics, charisma, beast. Only thing that holds Big back is the fact he didn't get to drop more material. He's 1 of the greatest ever, Rap Phenomenon was apt because he was a 1 off special talent, hearing him rhyme is a honour, he's up there with anyone when it comes to rapping. Discography a different conversation because he didn't get the opportunity unfortunately to make a 3rd album. What he did means he is an immortal legend though and he deserves that reverence because he was 1 hell of an MC and artist, will always be grateful for what we did get because it was exceptional work, 2 albums, 2 classics.
