2001 - Dr. Dre

After Deathrow, Dre tried havin' success with his Aftermath label releasin' a compilation album that wasn't well accepted... The Firm didn't work out like it was supposed to either. But he found his way to the top again thru Eminem's SSLP n then released 2001 which put him on top of the industry.... Eminem, 50 Cent, The Game, Beats by Dre, n Kendrick Lamar have kept him rich n famous....

Stillmatic - Nas

Previous to the release of Stillmatic, Nas was sufferin' from criticism n his fame level was decreasin' as well... Nastradamous was a disaster n NY's top dog at the time, Jay-Z, went at his jugular with the Takeover... But the release of Stillmatic which was also a commercial success put Nas back on top of Rap. Besides, general opinion declares him the winner of the battle n this brought life back to his career again... He's been releasin' albums with relative success n he's still a big name in hip hop in 2014....

Cash Money - Lil Wayne The carters

Cash Money became one of the most successful rap labels by the late 90's... mainly thru the success of their main star Juvenile.... The Big Tymers n the Hot Boyz which included Lil Wayne, BG n Turk also released mildly succesful albums durin' this time period... But in the early 00's money problems ended the harmony and almost all of their artists parted ways with the label... By this time Lil Wayne wasn't a star n a couple successful singles kept the label in the mainstream like what happened to that boy....
But Wayne became a worldwide star with the release of the Carter III... N in 2014 the label still as successful as ever by havin' Drake Lil Wayne n Nicki Minaje n their rooster...

So comebacks are not so easy in hip hop... Neither in sports, movies or many industries... What other successful comebacks do yall remember in hip hop... n what artists who already had their 15 minutes do you think can come back to the spotlight

Slaughterhouse was a pretty big deal in hiphop at one point. They fall off though. If you're talking about pre slaughterhouse then I can see your point. but Joe went gold and fell off the map and was on weirdo status for a while.

You mean Old ass Slick Rick or Outkast?
Slick Rick

The Art Of Storytelling was one of the best albums that year, he used modern producers with a modern sound, but he didn't change his style up. he proved that he was still in the top 3 storytellers all time in Hip Hop, first when it comes to creativity because who the fukk else is gonna tell a story about being a slave to a pharoahe that starts rapping to save another rapper/jester/slave from being fed to the lions
