100%. I lead because I have to not because I want to. I can’t wait to give that shyt up. But at the same time I’m not handing over the reigns of my household to someone that can’t handle the responsibility. But soon as someone can assume the role I’m dropping that head of household title with the quickness. shyt can bish scrapbook or something? I’m tired of having to keep these cacs off my back at work and run the household. I do think I have a good candidate now though. He’s very thorough and brutally honest, which I appreciate.

That could be true. Some people just haven’t been put in the right circumstances to succeed. But preconceived notions about those of us at the high salary rung are also damaging generalizations.

I was speaking on our community in general and I think he understood my POV as he didn’t seem to take offense to what I was saying. We can’t act like men don’t choose women sometimes that have less but look the part in order to keep them in line by way of financial control to feed their ego. But I also know that is not always the case.
I have two friends right now that have nowhere near what their men have in terms of finances. But they put up with a lot for those expensive dinners, vacas, and materialistic pics they post. The guys are older with status and looooong money. Both are miserable.

This. Sistas will brag about their masters/PHD, high paying job, rags to riches story, and having all their shyt together as if a guy cares about any of that shyt. Regardless, most men wanna have their own shyt together too and have too much pride to live off of a woman. So even if y'all both got ya shyt together a dude would take a girl who work at Dunkin Donuts that's a 10 over a chick at some white collar job that's a 6-7.
